Oishi Green Tea: Launches in Malaysia. Oishi Group, the country’s leading ready-to-drink green tea producer, has started its drive to become a regional brand by 2017 by forging a distribution alliance with F&N Beverages Marketing Sdn Bhd in Malaysia. F&N Beverages, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Fraser and Neave Ltd in Singapore, kicked off its distribution of Oishi green tea in PET bottles to 1,460 7-Eleven convenience stores in Malaysia on Monday. Comment: Massive news for OISHI

BJC: Plans overseas expansion. BJC plans to expand its retail business by launching drug and health stores, convenience stores and premium warehouse this year. The company will open drug and health stores in Bangkok next month with eight stores due to open this year. The company also plans to open a premium warehouse in Thailand this year followed by others in neighboring countries. BJC’s international businesses now contribute 15% to total revenue
and the company aims to raise this contribution to 50% in the next five years. (Source: Bangkok Post)
