Profit up 335% YoY in 9M13 — Eastern Printing announced 9M13 net profit of Bt112mn, growth of 335% YoY. It expects 2013 revenue to rise 30% with a 160% jump in net profit. It expects to book a dividend from Bor-Ploy Solar of Bt57mn in 4Q13. (Khao Hoon, 13/11/13)

CENTEL

Centel posts explosive profit in Q3 – Central Plaza Hotel Plc (CENTEL) reported a strong performance in the third quarter on the back of record high tourism figures this year. Suthikiati Chirathivat, chairman of the board, said consolidated revenue rose by 18% to Bt4.09bn YoY, 45.5% from hotels and 54.5% from the quick-service restaurants. (Bangkok Post, 13/11/13)

Comment: Their movement to more hotel management contracts over the past few years has been a boon to their bottom line

QH

Quality Houses raises revenue target after strong 9 months – Quality Houses has boosted this year’s revenue target from Bt18bn to Bt20bn after reporting revenue of Bt15.64bn and net profit of Bt2.57bn in the first nine months. (The Nation, 13/11/13)

PTT

3Q13 net profit at Bt31bn — PTT’s net profit in Q13 was Bt31bn, bringing 9M13 net profit to Bt79bn, booking Bt22bn profit from subsidiaries. Pailin Chuchottaworn said almost all of businesses have recovered. (Khao Hoon, 13/11/13)

THCOM

Net profit up 399% YoY — THCOM reported 3Q13 net profit of Bt320, up 399% YoY, bringing 9M13 net profit to Bt841mn, growth of 1,582% YoY. Net profit came from higher in revenues, lower costs and no more losses from its M-Phone business. (Khao Hoon, 13/11/13)

TASCO

2014 to grow strongly — TASCO expect a sharp increase in 2014 revenue growth from bitumen sales that will be supported by government’s infrastructure investment. It expects to gain ~Bt89bn worth of street construction orders out of the FY2014 government budget. (Thun Hoon, 13/11/13)

Comment: With its 1H13 profits equivalent to FY12, we think this one has a long way to run.

TMB
