Foreign banks help BJC fund US$6.2bn Big C buy – Berli Jucker Plc (BJC) has tapped foreign banks including BNP Paribas as well as domestic lenders to raise US$6.2 billion for its acquisition of Big C Supercenter Plc, putting it on track to successfully meet a March 31 financing deadline. Comment: One hopes for BJC that the support is certain otherwise they’ll be out of pocket to the tune of USD 600 mn

GUNKUL
GUNKUL approved a par split from Bt1 to Bt0.25 to increase liquidity. It ready to issue a debenture of not over Bt3bn, age not over 7 years to support further expansion. It will offer the debenture to shareholders on April 26. (Thun Hoon, 07/03/16)
Comment: Well if you want to do a stock split now before the SEC implements the 0.50 minimum ruling.

JWD expects to finish M&A deal in ASEAN worth more than Bt3.5bn. It is interested in logistics business. It targets revenue growth of no less than 10%. (Kao Hoon, 07/03/16)

KTB
KTB approved Bt1.2trn loans to TCC to buy Big C and expects to finish the deal this month. This comes on top of loans to TrueMove H to pay for its 4G license. It is confident that corporate loans will reach target. (Kao Hoon, 07/03/16)

LALIN
LALIN presales in first two months exceed its target of 20% YoY. It is confident that revenue will hit target growth of 15% supported by more demand. It plans to launch eight new projects worth Bt4bn to lift its backlog to Bt500-600mn. (Thun Hoon, 07/03/16)

Comment: Hmmmm….in order for them to achieve this they would have to … 1) capex shoots up through more movie purchases 2) pray that ad rates for digital tv improve by …. 50% 3) pray that the NBTC can actually get more people watching digital tv…

STEC has backlog of Bt68bn which is its new high. It expects 2015 revenue to continue to grow supported by government and non-government bids. It expects to get jobs valued at Bt40-50bn. (Thun Hoon, 07/03/16)

TACC
TACC plans to expand its business to Cambodia, China and Laos which is a potential market. It expects to increase export portion to 12% from 8%. (Kao Hoon, 07/03/16)

TRT expects revenue to reach Bt3bn supported by renewable energy power plant expand. It has backlog of more than Bt2.9bn. It sets target revenue in 2018 to reach Bt5bn. (Thun Hoon, 07/03/16)

TRUE is confident it will be able to pay for its 4G license. It expects a loss this year because of the high cost but expects a turnaround in 2017. (Kao Hoon, 07/03/16)
