AKR expects 3Q16 to turn to profit after booking backlog. It expects to bid for a new job in Thailand in 2H16. It targets 2016 revenue of Bt2.5bn and plans to do a JV with in Indonesia and Vietnam with local partners for power plants abroad. (Thun Hoon, 29/08/16)
AMA
AMA has filed for an IPO with the SEC of 108mn shares. It expects to expand its fleet and vehicles to allow it to get in on potential in Thailand and abroad. (Kao Hoon, 29/08/16)

BANPU
BANPU is preparing to increase capital of Banpu Power or BPP to shareholders at a ratio 18-25 BANPU shares to 1 BPP share. It will pay an interim dividend of Bt0.25/share, XD on Sep 8. (Kao Hoon, 29/08/16)

BBL

BDMS
BDMS expects 3Q16 to be outstanding due to high season and more customers. It expects 2016 profit to reach Bt9bn, growth of 15%. It plans to expand to 50 hospitals within 2-3 years. (Kao Hoon, 29/08/16)

ERW
ERW is confident that 2016 revenue will expand no less than 10%, supported by profit and revenue in 2H16. It expects 3Q16 revenue of Bt1.43bn, up 18%, backed by more tourists. It plans to add eight hotels and targets 23 hotels in Thailand and abroad by the end of this year. (Kao Hoon, 29/08/16)

FSMART
FSMART expects continued growth in 2H16, supported by economic recovery. It expects 2016 revenue growth of 30% from Bt1.68bn in 2015. It plans to expand “Boon Term” to 90k machines this year from 83k machines. It plans to also fuel machines. (Kao Hoon, 29/ 08/16)
Comment: After 2016 we are expecting to see lower YoY growth rates, doesn’t mean the dream is over, it’ll just depend upon management’s ability to figure out how else to utilise this massive network that has been created
 
GENCO
GENCO sets up two subsidiaries which expect to get PPAs for two waste power plants for a total capacity of 19.8MW.It plans to take over or do a JV in biomass, waste or solar power plant. It expects 3Q16 to be outstanding and lift 2016 earnings to a new high. (Thun Hoon, 29/08/16)
ILINK
ILINK expects to get a new job worth Bt2bn in 2H16. It plans to bid for Suvarnabhumi Phase ll, high-voltage transmission lines for the PEA worth Bt956mn and a project to lay cables underwater to Koh Samui and Koh Tao worth Bt3.8bn. IRPC

PSTC expects 2H16 earnings to be good, thanks to its alternative energy business. It expects capacity to reach 50MW this year. It expects 2016 net profit to mark a record high after a net profit in 1H16. It has signed a PPA for a 10MW cogeneration unit. (Thun Hoon, 29/08/16)
SAT

SCI expects net profit to be back to the black in 3Q16 brought by the high-voltage transmission line project and a power station in Laos valued Bt14.5bn. It expects to get two projects for a total value of Bt10bn. It expects 2017 revenue to be good. (Thun Hoon, 29/08/16)
Comment: The last big project from Laos is still pending for SCI, it was initially supposed to be completed with this month, looks like another delay, question is for how long?
 
SCN
SCN is budgeting Bt600mn for investment. It plans to invest Bt100mn to acquire gas supply. It also expects to acquire 3 NGV stations and open two new stations at a cost of Bt580mn. It expects 2016 revenue to grow 40% after it got orders from three clients for its second ICNG. (Thun Hoon, 29/08/16)
VNG
VNG expects 3Q16 earnings to be good from seasonally large orders. It plans to lift capacity to meet the needs of its larger customer base; finalization is expected this month. (Thun Hoon, 29/08/16)
WHA

    1. It is a hard slog for any steel companies in Thailand until China can get rid of their excess capacity and stop dumping their crap into other markets.

      These kind of companies look awfully speculative, can make a quick buck but just don’t be the one holding the bag when the bottom falls out.
