DEMCO expects its business to pass bottom after the budget for repairing Huay Bong 2-3 has been settled. It expects 2H16 to be in the black. EGCO expects 2016 operating profit to exceed Bt8bn, growth of over 5%, after reporting operating profit of Bt4.3bn in 1H16. It continues to expand electricity business in Thailand and abroad and expects capacity to reach 5,000MW by 2019. (Kao Hoon , 05/09/16)
KTB rejigs loan price formula. Krungthai Bank (KTB), the country’s largest state-owned bank by assets, has revised its pricing formula for government and state enterprise loans to be more competitive after significant falls over the past few years. (Bangkok Post, 05/09/16)

NEP’s shareholders approved a capital increase of not over 965.52mn shares as a rights offering at a ratio of 3 old shares to 2 new, priced at Bt0.45, plus a free warrant at a ratio of 2:1. SIMAT plans to sell its IT business and enter into the fiber broadband business. It expects revenue of 80% from the fiber broadband business in three years and expects customers to double to 50K in 2017. Comment: Wait what? Who are these guys? Investing in broadband is incredibly expensive and how will they compete against the larger players? I just don’t see it happening.
SUPER expects 3Q16 earnings to be good supported by booking Bt1.2bn revenue from the sale of electricity. It expects to book Bt3.4-3.5bn from sale of electricity in 2016. It expects 2016 capacity of 1,000MW. (Kao Hoon, 05/09/16)

Comment: A rather poor 2Q16 from the debts, apparently a change in accounting policy, will be interesting to see how the first of the year is/was for them
TTA expects to have profit next year after BDI has recovered to US$7,500 per day and PMTA earnings continue to grow. It expects to finish an acquisition by the end of 2016 or early 2017. (Kao Hoon, 05/09/16)

VTE expects to do power business abroad and aims at capacity of 300MW by the end of 2017. It is negotiating with a listed company to invest in a 25MW biomass power plant in Japan. It expects 2016 revenue to be outstanding, supported by booking revenue from building power plants in the Philippines and Myanmar. (Thun Hoon, 05/09/16)
