Suvarnabhumi expects bids by October – The long-awaited expansion of Suvarnabhumi airport is slated to have an auction for contractors in October, with construction starting by February, says president Nitinai Sirismatthakarn of the state-controlled Airports of Thailand (AoT). BRR
BRR expects 2016 revenue and profit to be stable from last year backed by a recovery in sugar price in 2H16. It has now switched to FiT for its power business and this will boost revenue by 20% and lift the proportion of revenue from power to 10%. It plans to set up a fund worth Bt3.6bn next year. CBG
CBG expects 2H16 earnings to be good after reporting 1H16 revenue of Bt4.48bn supported by demand from home and abroad. It expects 2016 sales to grow 20% from last year due to more customers. It has budgeted Bt2.61bn to increase can and bottle production capacity. (Thun Hoon, 15/09/16)

BEM

BEM expects 4Q16 to be good, supported by more than Bt3.6bn in revenue from Sriratch expressway and Purple Line, with 2016 revenue of Bt13.1bn. It expects profit growth of no less than 9%. It expects no effect from the fare reduction for the Purple Line as it is offset by a steady increase in passenger volume. (Thun Hoon, 31/08/16)

GENCO has set up 2 subsidiaries to prepare to build a 9.9MW power plant. (Kao Hoon, 31/08/16)

J expects 2H16 continue to grow supported by booking more revenue. It targets 2016 revenue growth of 30%. It has budgeted Bt1bn to develop projects at Srinakarin worth more than Bt600mn and land acquisition which expects to open at the end of the year. It plans to set up an REIT worth Bt500mn next year. BEM will negotiate with the BMTA for the Blue Line extension job in September. It accepts that passengers on the Purple Line are not meeting its target and pulling down revenue by Bt0.8mn per month. The BMTA has approved a reduction in average passenger fare of 30% to Bt14-29 and expects this to boost passenger load by 30% from 20K. (Kao Hoon, 25/08/16)

KBANK expects leading to rise on recovery of automotive market. It expects new loans of more than Bt75bn or growth of 35% to bring total loans to Bt93bn. It expects profit to be a new high at above target of Bt682mn. (Thun Hoon, 25/08/16)

A Japanese fund is interested in investing in KCE and expects to make a decision soon. It will spend Bt200mn to renovate its factory at Ayutthaya, with operations starting back up in 4Q16. It targets 2016 revenue growth of 10% from 2015, supported by more orders. (Thun Hoon, 25/08/16)
KSL
KSL targets 2016 revenue growth of 20% thanks to an increase in sugar price (2016-2017) of 30% to US$0.21/pound from US$0.15/pound last year. It plans to expand its sugar mill and is bidding for a PPA biomass power plant. (Thun Hoon, 25/08/16)

AMATAV expects 2016 revenue to reach Bt1.4bn due to sale of land and good facilities rental and services business. It will book revenue from the sale of 193.75 rai at end-2016. (Kao Hoon, 23/08/16)
Comment: They are up against a rather big player in KBC (vietnamese co) and given that this is AMATA, I doubt they’ll be as good as they should be.

Comment: The bombing over the weekend isn’t going to help matters in the ST, but unless there are continued incidents in Thailand I doubt that there’ll be a permanent impact over the med-long term
 
BA
BA expects 2H16 to be better than 1H16 due to high season. It plans to open two new routes to increase Chinese passengers. It has budgeted Bt1bn to expand Samui Airport to support 6mn passengers per year. It reported 1H16 earnings of Bt1.46bn or growth of 12.5%. (Thun Hoon, 15/0 8/16)

BEM reported 1H16 earnings growth of 12.3% to over Bt1.2bn and expects 2H16 to continue to grow. It will bid for a new job and plans to list its subsidiary soon. (Thun Hoon, 15/08/16)
CPF
CPF reported 2Q16 net profit of Bt4.02bn or growth of 35%, with 1H16 net profit of Bt7.78bn supported by more sales, both domestic and export. It will pay an interim dividend of Bt0.50/share, XD on Aug 23. (Kao Hoon, 15/08/16)
EA
EA reported 2Q16 net profit of Bt992mn or growth of 33%, due to booking revenue from its solar farm in Phitsanulok. It will COD 126MW a wind power plant at the end of this year. (Kao Hoon, 15/08/16)

Comment: Similar to most renewable players, GUNKUL’s growth is relatively straightfwd to forecast for the next few years. The jumps in revenues will come from new projects
