BRR
BRR expects 2016 revenue and profit to be stable from last year backed by a recovery in sugar price in 2H16. It has now switched to FiT for its power business and this will boost revenue by 20% and lift the proportion of revenue from power to 10%. It plans to set up a fund worth Bt3.6bn next year. CBG
CBG expects 2H16 earnings to be good after reporting 1H16 revenue of Bt4.48bn supported by demand from home and abroad. It expects 2016 sales to grow 20% from last year due to more customers. It has budgeted Bt2.61bn to increase can and bottle production capacity. (Thun Hoon, 15/09/16)

BRR’s board approved setting up an infrastructure fund for the power business of its two subsidiaries (Buriram Sugar and Buriram Power) with capacity of 19.8MW. It expects to use the funds to invest in new plants in Buriram and Surin. (Khao Hoon, 12/09/16)
Comment: Well that is an interesting development for a company firm. I’m not sure if 20 MW is enough for an infrastructure fund though…
 
CM
CM expects to complete a deal to set up a subsidiary in Myanmar by the end of this year. It plans to invest Bt700mn in a processing plant. It plans to expand to abroad. It expects 2016 revenue to be good on the back of the baht depreciation. (Thun Hoon, 12/09/16)
DCORP
DCORP expects to sign an MoU with a Chinese partner this week to invest in a mega project. It plans to invest in a 320MW solar farm in the Philippines. It expects net profit this year. Comment: We’ve been reading a lot about these solar farm’s in the Philippines, last we checked the grid there is far worse than Thailand so we have our doubts on several of these projects going through.
 
GUNKUL
GUNKUL plans to take over 40-70MW Japanese solar farms. It also plans to submit bidding documents for a 20MW solar farm in Malaysia. It expects this to increase its total capacity to 420MW at the end of 2015. It expects its capacity to reach 1000MW within 2021. It expects 2016 revenue to grow 30% as targeted. (Thun Hoon, 12/09/16)
JMART
JMART expects 4Q16 sales to surge brought by launching iPhone7. It expects 2016 revenue to grow 30% as targeted. It expects to change to a holding company within 2017 after it reaches Bt10bn in assets. (Thun Hoon, 12/09/16)
Comment: We are more curious about their other businesses which are the key drivers versus just the phone sales. Plus when you’re up against someone like Com7 that is sweet with True or SPVI that is sweet with AIS, how can JMART continue to compete?

Comment: Effectively every sugar company has the same story, I do wonder if we will see a consolidation phase 
 
CSS
CSS expects 2H16 earnings to be good backed by the telecom business. It expects 2016 revenue to reach Bt5bn or 10% growth as targeted. It will pay a dividend of Bt0.06/share, XD on Aug 23. (Khao Hoon, 16/08/16)
FSMART
FSMART expects 3Q16 revenue to grow 40% backed by expansion in Boon Term Top Up machines. It is talking to BBL, BAY, SCB, and KBANK in order to provide transfer service, expects to sign a contract with one bank at the end of this year. (Khao Hoon, 16/08/16)
Comment: I do now wonder what is the next step for FSMART with their top up machines, how many additional services can they add to this channel?

Comment: It is interesting to see how Thai utilities have been able to invest regionally. Both EPCO and RATCH have been on a buying spree in the past few years.

Comment: A weakening thai baht is +ve for all of electronic manufacturers, except perhaps SVI as the majority of their customers are based in Europe (albeit Scandinavia)

CCP
CCP expects 2H15 earnings to be good after the rainy season has passed. It plans to expand to neighboring countries as it
has got order from Cambodia. It backlog is Bt2.3bn. It plans to take part in Bt1bn biddings of which 50% is expected to be awarded. (Thun Hoon, 11/11/15)
Comment: It appears for CCP that a lot of the potential future projects have already been priced in for quite a while

CHOW expects 3Q15 earnings to grow 1200%YoY on the back of revenue from construction and power business. BCP to list renewable energy arm. The state-majority-owned Bangchak Petroleum Plc (BCP) plans to list its renewable energy arm BCPG on the SET next year, a decade after it diversified into the sector. The company operates a dozen solar farms nationwide with a combined capacity of 118 megawatts. Management said BCP was also in talks with several renewable energy operators including geothermal power plants in Malaysia and Indonesia as well as domestic operators of biomass and biogas facilities for possible mergers and acquisitions. BTS expects to sign two Green Line extension contracts this year and plans to use Bt16bn capex to buy 40 additional trains. (Khao Hoon, 10/09/15)

BRR expects strong earnings this year backed by strong sugar orders and revenue from its power business. BRR’s management said the government is talking with partners about investing in an ethanol plant and expects the project to be concluded in 4Q15. CCP is talking with prospective partner to expand to Myanmar and Laos. It expects this expansion to contribute revenue in 4Q15. It expects to get 60-70% of jobs valued at Bt700-800mn, which will raise its backlog from Bt2.3bn. It has budgeted Bt200mn to increase capacity to handle the high number of orders. Comment: Given that they are a small company, any infrastructure works should have a rather positive impact on earnings
DCON
DCON has budgeted Bt400mn to buy land for a condo project. It plans to launch a Bt1.5bn project at Sai Mai in 2016. It expects to benefit from government investment. It expects to complete a deal for a biomass power plant in 4Q15. (Thun Hoon, 21/08/15)
