ACAP raising loan target to Bt3.5bn from Bt2bn. There is progress in its plan to expand abroad and it expects to wind up a deal with two partners in Cambodia. It plans to issue a debenture worth Bt1bn with interest rate at 5.6%. The call center business continues to grow. (Thun Hoon, 21/09/16)

CENTEL expects 4Q16 to be good, supported by high season. It expects 2016 earnings to grow in line with growth in tourism. Recently, it agreed to join with PTT to study placing a hotel in service stations. (Thun Hoon, 21/09/16)

CHOW expects 3Q16 earnings to be good and lead to growth in 2016 revenue and profit. It has Bt3.36bn in loans from EXIM Bank to invest in a 70MW solar farm in Japan. It plans to list CHOW Energy on mai this year. (Kao Hoon, 21/09/16)

DEMCO
DEMCO won EGAT project worth Bt1bn which will expand its backlog to Bt8bn. It plans to bid for another new job. It expects 2016 revenue to grow 15% from last year supported by more jobs waiting to be booked. (Thun Hoon, 21/09/16)
Comment: Question is still how much more money will they lose from fixing those wind turbines? A gambling man may be willing to take a bet that 3Q could actually show a profit for the first time this year.

Comment: This despite oil prices down -50% from their peak, so where’s the issue for BJCHI to continue to winning projects?

Comment: Perhaps the last sector left to run in the Thai market.
 
BSM
BSM increase capital to RO and issue warrant (BSM-W2). It expects to funding of Bt150mn for develop property. It sets 2016 revenue target to over Bt1bn. (Khao Hoon, 06/06/16)
CENTEL
CENTEL expects 2Q16 earning to be good supported by tourism tax. It sets revenue target growth 10% from Bt19.2bn from 2015 due to tourism expansion. (Thun Hoon, 6/6/16)
CHO

LH
LH expects 2016 transfers to hit Bt28bn as targeted after backlog reached Bt20bn. It plans to launch 14 projects valued at Bt23.5bn. It expects this to increase its presales to Bt28bn at the end of this year. (Khao Hoon, 06/06/16)
MALEE
MALEE expects 2016 revenue growth to be higher than target at 15% aided by the baht weakening and higher sales abroad. It plans to expand to CLMV and ASEAN. It expects its associated company in the Philippines to contribute doubled revenue. (Thun Hoon, 06/06/16)
Comment: The Philippines has done far better than what most people expected. It does raise the question why couldn’t ICHI and SAPPE do the same in their international expansions.

Thailand is #1 for China Tourists

And here you go…I wouldn’t be surprised to see 50% of all tourists in Thailand come from China within the next 5 years. So who benefits? It is isn’t necessarily just the airport (AOT), airlines (AAV, BA, NOK, THAI) nor the hotels (ERW, MINT, CENTEL, DTC) but names like BEAUTY have said that they’ve benefited from Chinese tourists, so the question is who else will benefit and be next sector/company that will grow?

Comment: Still a B-grade version of MINT but their hotel side will always continue to perform well.

CRANE
CRANE is budgeting Bt200mn to invest in new equipment. It expects 2016 revenue growth of 25% on the back of a boom in construction. It plans to take part in project bidding. (Thun Hoon, 07/01/16)

Comment: A quick trip to Phuket has taught me the following 1) The Russians are still here; 2) The Chinese are definitely here, tourism into Thailand is a non-issue, now we are just waiting to see if CENTEL can actually manage F&B brands well or not. 
EFORL
EFORL 3Q15 earnings could grow 300% from booking the gain from sale of its holding in WCIH. Teerawut Pangviroonrug, CEO, is confident that EFORL will achieve its 2015 revenue target of Bt4.5bn on growing customer base and additional income from Siam Snail.
