APCO reported 3Q15 revenue of Bt94.89mn with Bt21.33mn net profit, affected by the slowdown in local demand. It plans to broaden its market by advertising on free TV, which it expects will increase revenue. It plans to launch new products via drug stores. Comment: A friend commented best on this, a wonderful marketing company but their products have little impact on one’s health.

CSL
CSL reported 3Q15 net profit of Bt85.96mn from 3Q14’s net loss of Bt464.34mn backed by data center project and dividend from a subsidiary. 9M15 revenue was Bt2.23bn with net profit of Bt248mn. (Thun Hoon, 09/11/15)

APCS
APCS expects to get Bt100mn orders from Japan. It expects to show a net profit for nine months performance after it had a net loss of Bt2.37mn for the first half of this year. It expects performance to turn around. It plans to broaden its customer base at home and abroad. It is looking for partner to invest in new products. (Thun Hoon, 20/10/15)

AQ
AQ’s board has approved taking shares in of Golden Technology Industrial Co.,Ltd. It will manage 4,300 rai of land valued at Bt13.5bn. It is confident it can repay total debt to KTB. It plans to negotiate with KTB to restructure the debt. (Khao Hoon, 20/10/15)

Comment: Well that’s rather strange given that the company is short on cash.

CPALL
CPALL expects 3Q15 net profit of Bt3bn, lifted by higher sales of ready-to-eat foods and its stamp marketing campaign. It expects 2015 revenue to grow 30%. (Thun Hoon, 20/10/15)
Comment: It’s stamp campaign was an amazing success, with zero cost to CPALL and all the costs passed down to the suppliers.

CTW
CTW expects 2016 revenue to be good backed by private and public investment such as rapid transit, 4G, moving above-ground cables underground and the government’s “digital economy”. It expects this to increase demand for electric wire, cable, and fiber optics. (Thun Hoon, 20/10/15)

DTAC
DTAC reported 3Q15 revenue of Bt19.7bn with Bt1.2bn in net profit. It will pay an interim dividend of Bt0.72/share. (Thun Hoon, 20/10/15)

Comment: Decent #’s but they realise that it isn’t worth chasing customers today with 4G on the horizon and the need to conserve cash.

AGE plans to implement cost control and focus on local industries especially those that have high demand for power. It expects local sales to grow 20% from 2014’s Bt3.58bn. AIRA
AIRA expects to show net profit in 2H15 from net loss in 1H15 of Bt37.8mn backed by the securities business. It plans to acquire other businesses to diversify (power business, leasing, insurance) which are expected to be clear in 2016. It has set up subsidiary “AIRA Property” to invest in rental business. Comment: AIRA is continuing along its aim to become an investment holdco. 
BEAUTY
BEAUTY plans to increase its distribution channels. It targets revenue to grow 27-30% within three years. (Thun Hoon, 01/10/15)
Comment: It’s a business I just don’t understand, and I still don’t see where their competitive advantage comes from other than pure pricing. 
BH
BH plans to set up diagnosis centers in Cambodia, Laos, United Arab Emirates, and Qatar after Myanmar. It has budgeted Bt11bn to invest in a second hospital. It is confident 2015 revenue will grow 10% from 2014’s Bt16bn. (Thun Hoon, 01/10/15)

Comment: Every company should be issuing debentures to take advantage of this low interest rate environment.

Comment: Well they need it given the expiration of its concessions and in the case that 4G may (or not) be postponed

AIT
2Q15 earnings dropped 13%QoQ and 56%YoY hit by decreasing backlog and inefficient cost control. It plans to pay an interim dividend of Bt0.55/share. (ASTV, 10/08/15)
Comment: AIT – once a darling, it’s being hurt along with anyone else that relies upon government projects for their revenues, but it doesn’t change the fact that once the government becomes operational AIT will be a major beneficiary given the continued investment in IT by Thailand.

BEAUTY
BEAUTY expects 2Q15 earnings of Bt61mn. Its CEO says 2015 revenue will achieve 20% target growth backed by high demand locally and overseas. (Thun Hoon, 10/08/15)

CSS
CSS’ board has approved an interim dividend of Bt0.1/share, XD on Aug 21, PD on Sep 7. It reported 2Q15 earnings of Bt68mn (+44.92%YoY). 1H15 net profit was Bt131mn (96% growth). (Khao Hoon, 10/08/15)

Comment: Its wonderful news for CHO however it’s one off and then earnings will return to “normal business” levels post this transaction
CPN
CPN has budgeted Bt20bn to open Central Phuket on 111rai, expects this property to be a center of business and tourist attraction. It plans to develop this property for hotels, convention center, and department store which is expected to be done in 2017. (Khao Hoon, 05/08/15)
Comment: Other than the massive mistake that is Central Embassy, CPN is still THE best pure mall play in Thailand.
EA
EA expects 2Q15 net profit to be higher than Bt800mn backed by solar farm, lifting 1H15 net profit to Bt1.4bn. Management is confident 2015 revenue will reach Bt10bn. It targets net profit growth of 50%. It expects annual revenue of Bt6bn from 2017 onward. (Khao Hoon, 05/08/15)
Comment: No change in the story here, however the stock price has seem to lost it’s interest from the investing publich w/ the price off some 33% from its 52 week highs.

CEN plans to acquire DIMET shares through UWC, its subsidiary, by doing a tender offer priced at Bt3.6 per share. It expects this deal to increase customer base and revenue. (Thun Hoon, 21/07/15)
Comment: This acquisition is going through a few levels, I don’t quite see the value in CEN using UWC to buy DIMET which hasn’t performed well as a company for years.

EMC
EMC expects to sign contract for a Bt2bn BTS station project in 2H15. 2Q15 performance is expected to be positive from 1Q15 losses of Bt23.81mn aided by huge orders and property business. Management guarantees a turnaround performance this year. (Thun Hoon, 21/07/15)

Comment: Arrow has been on such a run for the past few years, we do wonder aloud if they have the necessary capacity to match all the potential projects

BCP

Comment: Just like every other industrial related co, they’ll have profits in 2q as a result of stock gains, 3q however now looks to be unfolding the other way

Comment: BANPU’s stock price has followed that of coal prices in the past 5 years, declining from its peak of nearly THB 83 baht/share to where it is today, the continued shift of strategy to power plants is a natural move for them.

BBL
BBL is confident loan growth will achieve its target in the second half of the year without more NPLs, backed by economic recovery. It targets 3-4% growth for corporate and 6-8% for SME loans this year. (Khao Hoon, 22/06/15)

BH

Comment: Despite a relatively tepid growth rate, these valuation levels still hold because 1) It’s the biggest and arguably the best hospital play in Thailand 2) It is the only hospital group that has proven its ability to continue expanding well 3) They are still actively looking for M&A deals

DEMCO
Issues clarification of news – Khun Phongsak Sirikoop, CEO and M.D. of DEMCO clarifies news printed in a local paper: 1) It has not yet announced 1Q earnings. 2) It has not provided any information with regards to the process of selling Khun Nopporn’s shares. 3) It has also not released information regarding the purchaser of WEH stock in an equal proportion to Khun Nopporn’s shares. Comment: Again the main item for DEMCO is whether or not WEH can be listed, once its solved the stock price may again head back up to high teens
