BTS expects to sign the contract to operate MRT Green Line extension (North-South) by Dec 2016. It targets passenger growth of 5-6%. It expects operate the MRT Pink, Yellow, and Orange lines. FVC is studying investing in a new business. It expects 2H16 earnings to be good aided by Bt200mn from its medical business. It expects 2016 revenue to reach its target of Bt400-500mn. It expects net profit to be back to black this year. (Thun Hoon, 11/07/16)

IFEC expects Dhara Dhevi to exit from rehabilitation at the end of August. It expects to book extra gain from debt restructuring in 2Q16. It expects to sell land and residences. Comment: What property slowdown? As long as the number of buildings continue to increase then ARROW is in good shape. A consistent grower over the past few years.

BIG
BIG reported net profit of Bt459mn, growth of 235%, on a gain in market share to over 50% and total revenue of Bt1.62bn. It targets revenue growth of no less than 10%, supported by expanding to high-end customers. It will pay a dividend of Bt0.6/share, XD on April 29. (Khao Hoon, 24/02/16)

CHO
CHO reported profit in 2015 of Bt35mn, less than last year. This was due to a fall in total revenue and impact from the cancellation of the NGV bus. The board approved a stock dividend in the ratio 10 old shares for 1 new share, XD on April 27. It targets revenue growth of 5-10% in 2016. (Khao Hoon, 24/02/16)

Comment: AJP has a TV program channel + a waste power plant, again the synergies here are amazing, can you imaging the future potential of the shows, documentaries on waste power plants!!! You just have to believe. All kidding aside, while this doesn’t have any synergies at all, waste to power can be incredibly lucrative.

In response to Bestrin Group’s appeal to the prime minister to investigate the transparency of the NPG bus project, the Bangkok Mass Transit Authority insists the bid for NGV bus project was transparent and it will go ahead and sign two contracts with CHO to provide the NGV buses and maintenance services in June. Comment: BGT has suffered along with every other consumer related business in the past 2 years, perhaps more so because they have the single brand risk.

CHO

Comment: The earnings momentum behind apco continues, with their recent cap increase things could continue to improve further.
AUCT
AUCT sets up luxury car auction worth at least Bt300mn after success with the prior auction worth Bt607mn. Management expects the second-hand car market to recover in 2H14. (Kao Hoon, 27/08/14)
Comment: AUCT makes it’s fees on the # of transactions, not upon the value of the cars sold, so as long the # of cars that it auctions through its systems increase then they can continue to do very well.

TAA steps up bundling – Thai AirAsia is stepping up its strategy of bundling ground and sea transport with its flights to allow passengers to reach new destinations. Comment: Airasia is still to me the strongest airline player amongst all 3 listed ones in Thailand.

ANAN

ANAN maintains revenue target of Bt9bn and will launch four new projects worth Bt15bn in 4Q14. It believes the property business will recover in 2H14. (Khao Hoon, 12/06/14)

Comment: The key issue for ANAN is that its currently trading @ THB 8bn mkt cap, profit margins just slightly below its peers (ex-SIRI) and unless it can increase margins (SG&A was somehow nearly 25% of revenues in 2013) I just can’t see this name rerate

ARIP

ARIP expects better performance 2H14, saying 2Q14 will be lower than 1Q14. It has new content in digital TV and will book income from this in 3Q14. It is ready to acquire businesses. (Khao Hoon, 12/06/14)
