BTW
BTW is talking to a prospective partner to expand to the power business. It expects a decision to be made this year. It expects 2H16 performance to be good backed by solar farms in cooperative units. It expects 2016 revenue to reach Bt2bnm as targeted. Its backlog is Bt1.9bn, of which 50% is expected to be recognized this year. (Thun Hoon, 28/09/16)
Comment: Despite the rather old company name it’s effectively a construction company that focus on renewable energy projects, will be seeing them in a few weeks to see what the story is.
 
EFORL
EFORL plans to restructure the business plan for Wuttisak Clinic. It plans to focus on cosmetic products. It plans to set up an integrated beauty center to meet demand. It expects 2H16 performance to be good on seasonality . (Thun Hoon, 28/09/16)
Comment: This Wuttisak story has been ongoing for the past few years…
 
HTECH
HTECH plans to expand its capacity by 20%. It expects 4Q16 performance to be higher than target, backed by its new equipment. It expects sales to mark a record high after recording a net profit of Bt46.88mn in 1H16. It expects its plant in Vietnam to operate in 1Q17. (Thun Hoon, 28/09/16)
Comment: Despite the news that VN is the place to be for manufacturing, a visit there has shown that salaries are already in line in with Thailand for skilled labour and there is a bigger shortage of skilled labour…
 
ILINK
ILINK plans to hold a roadshow to attract foreign investors. It expects the plan to be finalized in November. It expects to get new orders which will raise its backlog. (Thun Hoon, 28/09/16)
MK
MK maintains its target 2016 property revenue at Bt2.5bn even though total revenue fell to Bt3.1bn. It plans to launch two projects in 4Q16 valued at Bt841mn. It is budgeting Bt1.2bn to expand its leasable area to reach 250,000sqm within 2020. (Khao Hoon, 28/09/16)
Comment: So this is the new strategy by the new shareholder in MK…

AGE expects to become a holding company engaged in the property business. It expects a return of at least 15%. It plans to export coal to Vietnam, which will increase revenue by 5-10%. It expects 4Q15 earnings to be good. It plans to implement cost control to increase profit. (Thun Hoon, 18/01/16)
Comment: A holding company engaged in property? Wait a minute, they are a coal company! Well better to switch now before its too late i suppose.

BBL
BBL revises up GDP growth to 3.5-4% from 3-3.5% driven by stimulus measures. It targets loans growth of 3.5%. (Thun Hoon, 18/01/16)
Comment: Don’t banks traditionally grow at 2x GDP?

BKD
BKD got a Bt300mn project, decorating Lotte and Marriot hotels. It plans to take part in Bt2bn bids. It targets 2016 revenue and net profit growth of 20%. (Khao Hoon, 18/01/16)

CSP
CSP targets steel sales of 150,000 tons driven by economic recovery. It expects to show net profit in 1Q16 after focusing on valued added products. (Khao Hoon, 18/01/16)

ADVANC
ADVANC announced the dividend payment in 2H15 Bt5.96/share, raising the full year dividend to Bt12/share. This year, it targets revenue growth of 3-4%. It has budget of Bt40bn to expand 3G, fiber optic and broadband. (Kao hoon, 6/2/15)

CRANE
CRANE will propose board to pay dividend more than 50% within 1Q15, following from the superb 2014 earnings. In 2015, it expects the business to grow 20% from the boom of construction. It is studying on the listing of its four associates to raise fund from SET. (Thun Hoon, 6/2/15)

EGCO
EGCO invested Bt1.2bn for acquiring an additional 33.33% of the common shares in Natural Energy Development Co (NED) with the capacity of 63 megawatts. It will recognize additional revenue contribution from the increase of its stake for the investment immediately. (Kao hoon, 6/2/15)

GRAMMY
Digital TV to decide GRAMMY’s result – The company expects its 2015 performance to be based on its digital TV business. It sets the investment in content about Bt1bn for digital TV channel. (Kao Hoon, 6/2/15)
Comment: Similar to RS and WORK, grammy is betting the bank on digital TV working, but they have had capital issues hence the new partner in it’s digital operations

HTECH not impacted by political situation, though clients changed production base after they had done marketing in other countries. It is preparing to present its business plan to its board of directors in Feb. It expects revenue growth of 10% YoY in 2014. (Khao Hoon, 3/2/14)

IRPC

IRPC expects a turnaround in its 2013 profit supported by bookings from land sale worth Bt1bn. The company also still has more than 2,000 rai of land on hand ready for development. (Khao Hoon, 03/02/14)

Comment: A petrochem firm that has to sell land assets to be profitable? IRPC is still a horribly mismanaged firm.

JAS

JAS expects net profits for 2013 to exceed Bt3bn supported by new broadband clients that will help push top line growth. Concerns on debt repayment case are also off the table after no creditors filed a claim for repayment. It aims to set up an infrastructure fund in the first half of this year. (Khao Hoon, 03/02/14)

Capital increase update — BMCL reports that of the 8.55bn newly issued shares as rights offering, 6,275,704,432 were taken, leaving 2,274,295,568 shares to be privately placed. (Khao Hoon, 26/12/13)

Comment: Good for the company, will BMCL then in the future also do an infrastructure fund?

GLOW

Subsidiary signs contract for expansion — GLOW subsidiary, GLOW SPP 11, has signed a contract with Wartsila to construct the expansion part of the 19MW gas-fired power plant. It expects the project to be completed by 1Q15. (Khao Hoon, 26/12/13)

Raising growth target again — APCO is raising its earnings target again to growth of 70-75% YoY. The company expects 4Q13s to be outstanding as it is the high season. (Khao Hoon, 11/10/13)
Comment: Never heard of this company before, no idea what it is
CPALL
Cutting MAKRO holding — CPALL is planning to reduce its holding in MAKRO from 97.88% to less than 60%. It also plans to issue bonds to raise Bt40bn, using the proceeds from both the new bond issue and the sale of MAKRO shares to reduce its current debt of Bt180bn. (Khao Hoon, 11/10/13)
Comment: This changes the picture for cpall quite dramatically, expect to see a lot of new analyst reports out
GLOBAL
Floods to give short-term boost — GLOBAL will get a short term boost as flood damages will raise demand for its products. It expects 4Q13 to be its best quarter. (Khao Hoon, 11/10/13)
Comment: We expected as much, HMPRO and maybe DCC and DRT may benefit too.
