MC expects 2H16 revenue to be good supported by campaigns and high season. It is confident that 2016 revenue will grow 15%. It has a plan to add 1 branch in Laos. (Kao Hoon, 22/09/16)
Comment: I still think that they have one of the worst inventory days turnover that I’ve seen amongst nearly every retailer in the region.

Comment: It’s no surprise that it failed because the RO has just done at 35, which investor would accept a PP @ 40?

BTS expects to sign the contract to operate MRT Green Line extension (North-South) by Dec 2016. It targets passenger growth of 5-6%. It expects operate the MRT Pink, Yellow, and Orange lines. FVC

IFEC expects Dhara Dhevi to exit from rehabilitation at the end of August. It expects to book extra gain from debt restructuring in 2Q16. It expects to sell land and residences. CENTEL
CENTEL expects 2015 revenue to achieve target of Bt19bn, with more growth in 2016. It plans to expand both food and hotel businesses. It expects to get 8-10 hotel management contracts each year. It will hold a roadshow in Singapore this week. (Khao Hoon, 07/01/16)
Comment: Still a B-grade version of MINT but their hotel side will always continue to perform well.

CRANE
CRANE is budgeting Bt200mn to invest in new equipment. It expects 2016 revenue growth of 25% on the back of a boom in construction. It plans to take part in project bidding. (Thun Hoon, 07/01/16)
Comment: There’s always been hidden value in the CRANE and it’s been well known for monkey years.

Property companies are interested in taking over BROCK as it is debt free with strong fundamentals. It is talking with a Chinese partner to invest Bt10bn in property in Phuket. It expects 2Q15 earnings to be good and plans to launch a new project worth Bt400-500mn. (Thun Hoon, 09/07/15)

DRT
DRT expects best result for the year in 1Q15 driven by seasonality coupled with the slump in oil price. For the whole of 2015, the firm also expects the growth in revenue from last year underpinned by the bright outlook in contractor sector. (Thun Hoon, 05/02/15)
Comment: I just met DRT, whats interesting here is that they have been able to sell directly to property developers which has been a key growing part of their sales.

Thai AirAsia X eyes broad expansion – An aggressive expansion appears on the horizon for Thai AirAsia X (TAAX) with the addition of five wide-body jets and expanded coverage over Japan next year. On the radar screen for Thailand’s first long-haul low-cost carrier are services to four Japanese airports – Haneda (Tokyo), Nagoya, Fukuoka and Hokkaido. (Bangkok Post, 27/10/14)
Comment: These flights are basically guaranteed to be a success given the amount of thai travelers to Japan and vice versa in terms of business.

BRR
Buriram Sugar plans listing – Sugar miller Buriram Sugar Plc plans to list on the Stock Exchange of Thailand next month to mobilize funds for expansion. Chief executive Anant Tangtongwechakit said the northeastern miller had scheduled an initial public offering for Oct 28-31. The company plans to offer 169.18 million shares or 25% of paid-up capital in listing to raise Bt676.75mn at a par value at one baht. (Bangkok Post, 27/10/14)

FIRE
FIRE will sell 90mn IPO shares next month and will be traded on 13 November. The company expects to use the funds from the IPO for business expansion. (Kao Hoon, 27/10/14)

FSMART
FSMART to partner with three parties, Tune Insurance, Plan B Media and TWZ, to help expand its automatic top up machine business and increase revenue further. It has set up an investment budget of Bt375mn for 2015 to expand the number of machines up to 15,000 to help increase the revenue from its top up machines to reach Bt14bn. (Kao Hoon, 27/10/14)

ADVANC to launch fixed broadband service early next year. It targets 300,000 customers in the first phase and expects to invest Bt4.6bn. It also said that over the past two years it has invested Bt80bn in its 3G network and it expects to reach 20,000 3G base stations by the end of this year, covering 97% of the country’s population. CPF: Food processing plant in Minburi 2 to focus on Halal food. It aims to make this plant a base for export of Halal food to the Middle East, Asia and Europe. The plant can produce up to 1,450 tons of chicken and 500 tons of duck each month. (Kao Hoon, 20/10/14)

CSS
CSS shares expected to run today on news of it coming out from the cash balance trading requirement and CSS-W1 to start trading today. Management said 3Q14 earnings were good supported by a high number of orders. (Kao Hoon, 20/10/14)

Shareholders okay PP — DNA’s shareholders have given their approval to the private placement of 500mn capital increase shares at a price of Bt0.20. It expects to use the proceeds of more than Bt1bn to acquire new businesses, with 2-3 deals expected to be completed within 4Q14 and another one at the beginning of next year. (Kao Hoon, 20/10/14)

Hemaraj sales down, prospects still good – Hemaraj Land and Development Plc (HEMRAJ) says it sold and leased 297 rai in the first half of this year, down sharply from 1,190 rai in the same period of 2013, but insists that prospects are improving. There were 20 contracts signed over the period, with 13 new customers and seven expansions by existing ones. Of the total contracts, half were with Japanese companies and 25% in the automotive industry. (Bangkok Post, 10/07/14)

ERW: 1Q14 revenue to fall 25% YoY, pulled down by the political turmoil. However, there are better signs moving into 2Q14. It expects revenues this year to grow by 2-4% YoY and aims to open 12 new hotels to help push revenue growth in the future. (Khao Hoon, 28/04/14)

Comment: Every hotelier with Bangkok operations is going to have a poor 1Q, this is already known, still ERW looks more like an Asset play + recovery play

JAS

JAS expects to book profit of Bt30bn from its sale of assets in its new Bt70bn infrastructure fund in June. It aims to increase its customer base to 1.7mn by the end of this year and become the #1 player in the broadband business. (Khao Hoon, 28/04/14)
