BR expects to complete a deal with an Indonesian partner by 1Q16. It is studying taking over local and international companies. It plans to distribute its products in Laos, Cambodia, and Myanmar. Comment: It would be interesting to see how far they can take the auction business into other segments, but their bread and butter is still the auctioning of cars and bikes

Comment: Now this is an interesting development….why can’t Thai companies be more present in the region?
CCET
Taiwanese investors are interested in investing in CCET, planning to increase its capacity. They expect CCET to be their #1 supplier. It plans to focus on high margin products. Comment: Whenever I’m reading news about this company my head begins to cock to the side like a dog when it sees something confusing. IT to e-commerce to renewables to property to animal hospitals. YES! I can see the differentiating factor here so very clearly, they will launch an animal hospital (commercial) where pet’s owners can stay next door (residential), pay everything online via an ecommerce system (IT/ecommerce), where the neutering operations will be solar powered! Booyah!

ASIAN
ASIAN expects 2015 sales of Bt8bn with Bt60-200mn net profit after it has revised its business strategy. It is looking for a partner. (Khao Hoon, 19/01/16)

BTS
BTS is budgeting Bt140bn to support the operational management and investment in five MRT routes covering 114.4km. It expects this to be put up for bid by 1Q16. It estimates ridership of 1mn/day. (Thun Hoon, 19/01/16)

EPG
EPG expects 3QFY16 earnings to grow 100% from 3QFY15’s Bt148.05mn thanks to the baht depreciation. It expects a net profit margin of 15% on lower oil prices. (Thun Hoon, 19/01/16)

CI
CI plans to take over hotels at home and overseas; it expects this to be finalized next year. It plans to launch three new projects, valued at Bt5bn, which will raise its backlog to Bt3bn. 4Q15 net profit is expected to be a record high from seasonality and transfers that were spurred by property incentives. Comment: First they cleaned their balance sheet, then a share buyback and now M&A deals, not a bad move by this family.

CSL
CSL expects to show a net profit this year after achieving Bt248mn in net profit for first nine months. It expects 2015 revenue to grow 1-3%, close to last year’s, affected by a poor performance by its yellow pages and mobile contents businesses. GCAP is talking to a prospective partner to expand its business, lending on agricultural machines, which it expects to finalize soon. It targets 2015 loans for crepe rubber machines to reach Bt20mn from the addition of customers. It expects 3Q15 earnings to be good backed by increased demand for loans. Comment: A rather interesting little company, but has the decrease in agricultural prices killed its target market?

GOLD
GOLD’s board has approved a capital increase of 685.7mn shares for PP to FPHT at Bt7.25/share, equal to Bt4.97bn. It plans to use the funds from the capital increase for new projects. It reported 3Q15 earnings of Bt133.52mn (+71%) with revenue of Bt2bn. It plans to pay an interim dividend of Bt0.05/share, XD on Nov 19, PD on Dec 3. (Thun Hoon, 10/11/15)

Comment: That is impressive, a couple of reasons for it 1) lower costs 2) high GPM’s on products 3) Is upcountry really buying that much more? 
EPG
EPG’s management feels confident about FY2H15 outlook (October 2015-March 2016) owing to seasonality and the weakening baht. The firm also maintains positive revenue guidance at Bt9bn for FY 2016. (Than Hoon, 08/10/15)
Comment: It’s quite the interesting niche company with a massive global footprint. 
FIRE
FIRE has decreased its target revenue growth in 2015 from 15% to 10%. It plans to expand abroad and expects to open an office in Cambodia next year. It expects revenue growth in 2016 at no less than 15%. (Kao Hoon, 08/10/15)

Comment: There’s nothing new here in terms of stories nor valuation, in the end its a good move for CK to not have to inject additional capital into BMCL

CHOW has done a JV with BCP to invest in a 50MW solar power plant in Japan. It will invest no more than Bt380mn. (Khao Hoon, 30/09/15)
DRT
DRT expects sales to peak in 2016 although 2015 sales may be hurt by the economic slowdown. It plans to expand abroad. It targets exports to comprise 30% of revenue within three years. It expects to benefit from the government’s stimulus. (Thun Hoon, 30/09/15)
Comment: That’s rather ambitious by DRT, unless the Thai portion of the business is going to collapse.

Comment: I think the journo’s don’t understand what they are writing here, ANAN isn’t going to have THB 10 bn in revenue in its 2H15, perhaps an additional THB 10bn of new backlog to be recognised in the future.

DCC
DCC plans to open new outlets in Cambodia and Laos. It expects exports to double this year benefitting from numerous orders from Sri Lanka, the Philippines, and Malaysia. It targets sales of Bt7bn with profit in the double digits. (Thun Hoon, 15/07/15)

Comment: The only thing that matters for CPALL within the next 12 months is 1) When will they sell shares in MAKRO 2) How much of these share sale will go to paying down the debt 3) Then CPALL’s stock price can continue its rise.

CSS
CSS expects growth in 2H15 backed by a robust in telecommunications sector. It expects 2015 revenue to increase to Bt5bn supported by investment in 3G-4G network. 2016 revenue is expected to be good aided by alternative energy business. (Khao Hoon, 29/06/15)

EPG
