AOT opening bidding for four contracts for Suvarnabhumi Phase ll. It expects to solicit bids for two contracts this year and will sell the bidding documents in October. It expects to raise its passenger capacity to 60mn passengers per year from 45mn passengers per year now. (Thun Hoon, 13/09/16)
Comment: Having just returned from JKT on the late night flight you can see both the arrival and departure halls bustling with passengers. I would be surprised to see capacity issues hitting AOT within the next 12 months 
 
BEAUTY
BEAUTY expects 3Q16 earnings to be good, supported by more demand. It expects 2016 revenue to grow no less than 20% from Bt1.79bn in 2015. There is progress in talks regarding distributors in Hong Kong and Taiwan and it expects a decision in 4Q16. (Thun Hoon, 13/09/16)
CHEWA
CHEWA targets three-year revenue growth of 20% annually, supported by developing new projects and buying property projects that already have their EIA. It plans to launch its first lowrise project worth Bt500mn at the end of October. (Kao Hoon, 13/0 9/16)
Comment: Its an interesting smaller property developer. But as always with this business model, scalability is an issue
 
IVL
IVL has closed the deal for a JV with Dhunseri Petrochem Limited in India. This will lift PET capacity to 700K tons per year, making it India’s second-largest producer. (Thun Hoon, 13/09/16)
Comment: Another acquisition, he’s well on his way to catching up to Reliance, but is such a strategy necessarily good for minority equity shareholders?
 
NCH

BEM will negotiate with the BMTA for the Blue Line extension job in September. It accepts that passengers on the Purple Line are not meeting its target and pulling down revenue by Bt0.8mn per month. KBANK expects leading to rise on recovery of automotive market. It expects new loans of more than Bt75bn or growth of 35% to bring total loans to Bt93bn. It expects profit to be a new high at above target of Bt682mn. (Thun Hoon, 25/08/16)

A Japanese fund is interested in investing in KCE and expects to make a decision soon. It will spend Bt200mn to renovate its factory at Ayutthaya, with operations starting back up in 4Q16. It targets 2016 revenue growth of 10% from 2015, supported by more orders. (Thun Hoon, 25/08/16)
KSL
KSL targets 2016 revenue growth of 20% thanks to an increase in sugar price (2016-2017) of 30% to US$0.21/pound from US$0.15/pound last year. It plans to expand its sugar mill and is bidding for a PPA biomass power plant. (Thun Hoon, 25/08/16)
Comment: Just as with the comment for KTIS, could it be time for the sugar co’s to perform?

Comment: Despite the short term respite it’s still going to be tough for insurance co’s to make $ on their investment portfolio’s given these low yields
 
DEMCO
DEMCO says its 60MW wind power at Khao Kor commenced operations. It expects this to contribute Bt40mn income in 2017. It expects 2016 revenue to grow 10-15%. Its backlog is Bt7bn, of which it expects to book Bt6bn this year. It plans to take part in Bt10bn in bids. (Thun Hoon, 10/08/16)
Comment: The issue surrounding Demco is still because of the loss of production payments 
 
EGCO
EGCO reported 2Q16 net profit of Bt2.04bn (+46%). This brought 1H16 net profit to Bt4.63bn (+58%). ( Khao Hoon, 10/08/16)
GFPT
GFPT reported 2Q16 net profit of BT380.79mn (+90%) backed by lower feed costs and growth in GFN and McKey. It expects 2H16 earnings to be good on seasonality. It expects exports to reach 6,500ton/quarter. It expects 2016 gross profit to grow 14%. (Thun Hoon, 10/08/16)
Comment: Every chicken/pork company has had a wonderful 2Q and it looks like chicken prices are continuing to increase into the 2H16
 
GOLD
GOLD reported 2Q16 net profit of Bt359.38mn, which brought 1H16 net profit to Bt560.77mn driven by large transfers from property stimulus measures. It expects 2016 revenue to reach its target of Bt10bn. (Khao Hoon, 10/08/16)

CPF acquired 2.75mn shares of Norfolk at US$1.45/share for a total of Bt141mn. It expects this deal to complete in 3Q16. It expects this to be a milestone to broaden its food business in Sri Lanka and as an export base to neighbouring countries. (Khao Hoon, 15/07/16)

CPN and Central Department Stores in Bangkok have budgeted Bt100mn to hold a food festival tagged “Central Bangkok Taste of the World”. It expects this to attract 30% more tourists and bring in revenue of at least Bt500mn. (Khao Hoon, 15/07/16)
EPG
EPG expects 1QFY17 earnings growth over 15% YoY from profit of Bt287mn in FY2015 supported by more orders. It expects FY2016 revenue of Bt10-11bn. It has budgeted Bt1bn to buy machinery to enable it to expand its business to ASEAN. (Thun Hoon, 15/07/16)
ERW
ERW expects 2Q16 earnings to be good thanks to tourism recovery which has given high occupancy rates. It is budgeting Bt1.7bn to expand HOP INN in Thailand and abroad. It is confident that 2016 revenue will grow no less than 15%. (Thun Hoon, 15/07/16)

Comment: Well they should be busy with renting out their cranes for all these infra projects too.
NEP
NEP plans to restructure by takeovers and JVs. It is budgeting Bt60mn to buy equipment in order to increase its capacity for high-margin products. It expects net profit to get back in the black soon and will apply dividend policy of 50% payout ratio. (Thun Hoon, 30/06/16)

Comment: The relationship with True was a positive surprise. Iphone 7 launch in a couple of months, earnings should be rather steady for this company for the next 9 months.
 
EA
EA says solar farm at Phitsanulok supplies more than 693,000units of electricity. Its capacity is 278MW. It expects 126MW wind power to operate in 3Q16. (Khao Hoon, 20/06/16)
JMT
JMT expects to show net profit in 2Q16 from 1Q16 net loss of Bt15mn after extending the booking period to 10 years for acquiring debt. It plans to acquire Bt20bn bad debt from financial institutions. Comment: And with the call confirming the 100% payout maintained you’re saying shorts covering and some activity returning back to the stock, the key issue for the industry is still how crazy are True going to be with trying to capture market share.
