Comment: The stock market in China naturally doesn’t have any impact on AAV’s earnings.

Comment: AJP has a TV program channel + a waste power plant, again the synergies here are amazing, can you imaging the future potential of the shows, documentaries on waste power plants!!! You just have to believe. All kidding aside, while this doesn’t have any synergies at all, waste to power can be incredibly lucrative.

ANAN
ANAN says 1Q15 will be good, backed by large backlog. It will spend Bt4bn for land acquisition and double new launches to Bt31.5bn. It plans to grow backlog to grow revenue over the next five years. It believes the property and building tax will raise developers’ cost. (Thun Hoon, 23 Mar 15)
Comment: And this property company continues to grow quietly without the industry really noticing. The biggest question I’ve noted about this firm is that it has yet to fully prove that it can transfer all units from its successfully sold out projects.

BKI, TIP
BKI and TIP will benefit from the Bt3trn infrastructure projects, particularly Green Line worth Bt8bn which is expected to open for bidding in 2Q15. (Than Sethakij, 23/3/15)

The Tourism Authority of Thailand says hotel bookings in Chiang Mai during Songkran is at over 90% despite the continued air pollution. (Krungthep Turakij, 20/03/15)
Comment: I’ve mentioned this enough times, AAV is the only airline you’d want to bother looking at on the Thai Equity market.

Comment: A surprising loss last year from this construction co, I do expect for things to improve and am wondering why they can’t bid for the larger projects like UNIQ has.

BCP
BCP says EBITDA this year will hit Bt10bn supported by revenue from its solar farm and investment in Nido Petroleum. It will go on a roadshow with the SET in the US. (Kao Hoon, 28/10/14)
Comment: I’ve never liked their E&P expansion and with the refcent 20% decline in oil prices I do wonder if their now getting nervous, on the other hand their expansion into solar will provide a stable portion in ebitda

It said that within the next six months, there will be four major events from which it expects to revenue of at least Bt600mn. It will announce the first major event in early October. (Kao Hoon, 19/09/14)

AOT
AoT kicks upgrades into overdrive – Management at Airports of Thailand (AoT) must shorten the delay that has plagued upgrades of Bangkok’s Don Mueang and Phuket airports to next July. Comment: I’ve always been impressed with BSM’s business and their ability to grow plus the exclusivity with the NZ co. A nice little business they have & their growth numbers will continue to impress b/c of their low base.
