Comment: Well if they pay out the entire proceeds from the land sale then it would be more than a 10% special dividend
 
DCON
DCON expects 4Q16 to be peak supported by more orders and booking revenue from the sale of land. It is confident that 2016 revenue will be better than last year. It expects 2016 revenue of no less than Bt1.1bn. It plans to expand production lines and list a subsidiary in 2018. (Thun Hoon, 02/09/16)
EKH

A Japanese fund is interested in investing in KCE and expects to make a decision soon. It will spend Bt200mn to renovate its factory at Ayutthaya, with operations starting back up in 4Q16. It targets 2016 revenue growth of 10% from 2015, supported by more orders. (Thun Hoon, 25/08/16)
KSL
KSL targets 2016 revenue growth of 20% thanks to an increase in sugar price (2016-2017) of 30% to US$0.21/pound from US$0.15/pound last year. It plans to expand its sugar mill and is bidding for a PPA biomass power plant. (Thun Hoon, 25/08/16)

Comment: The bombing over the weekend isn’t going to help matters in the ST, but unless there are continued incidents in Thailand I doubt that there’ll be a permanent impact over the med-long term

BA expects 2H16 to be better than 1H16 due to high season. It plans to open two new routes to increase Chinese passengers. It has budgeted Bt1bn to expand Samui Airport to support 6mn passengers per year. It reported 1H16 earnings of Bt1.46bn or growth of 12.5%. (Thun Hoon, 15/0 8/16)

BEM reported 1H16 earnings growth of 12.3% to over Bt1.2bn and expects 2H16 to continue to grow. It will bid for a new job and plans to list its subsidiary soon. (Thun Hoon, 15/08/16)
CPF
CPF reported 2Q16 net profit of Bt4.02bn or growth of 35%, with 1H16 net profit of Bt7.78bn supported by more sales, both domestic and export. It will pay an interim dividend of Bt0.50/share, XD on Aug 23. (Kao Hoon, 15/08/16)
EA
EA reported 2Q16 net profit of Bt992mn or growth of 33%, due to booking revenue from its solar farm in Phitsanulok. It will COD 126MW a wind power plant at the end of this year. (Kao Hoon, 15/08/16)

GUNKUL reported 1H16 net profit of Bt315.94mn, up 42.62% from Bt221.53mn in 1H15. It expects demand to increase and will continue to expand business to support earnings growth. (Thun Hoon, 15/08/16)
Comment: Similar to most renewable players, GUNKUL’s growth is relatively straightfwd to forecast for the next few years. The jumps in revenues will come from new projects

Comment: A small name that recently IPO’ed and somehow has amazing numbers  in the 1H16
 
BIZ
BIZ expects to bid for a new job worth more than Bt200mn in 2H16. It has backlog of Bt640mn with 80-90% of that to be booked this year. It expects this to lift 2016 revenue to Bt600mn. (Kao Hoon, 05/08/16)
ITD
ITD won the bid for construction of a 800MW coal power plant in Krabi. Its bid was the lowest, at Bt32bn. It will start construction after it gets EHIA approval. (Kao Hoon, 05/08/16)

BBL targets 2016 loan growth of 3-4%. It expects 2Q16 earnings to move with the economy and government stimulus measures. (Khao Hoon, 24/06/16) BIG BIG says it has risen to a 55% market share driven by expansion. It expects the industry to recover. It expects net profit to grow 71% this year and 12% next year. Comment: Still the incumbent in the retail industry in Thailand. International expansion is a positive but does have lower margins.
 
CSL
CSL expects 2016 revenue to increase 2-3% supported by a data center, for which renters have reached 68% now. The broadband business continues to grow. It targets 10,000 customers in 2016. (Thun Hoon, 2/6/16)

AirAsia mulls Thai hub – AirAsia, the continent’s largest no-frills airline group, is keen to boost its position in Thailand with the relocation of its regional nerve centre from Indonesia to here. In a discussion with Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha yesterday, AirAsia chief executive Tony Fernandes said the group would also like to build its own airports in Thai provinces such as Surat Thani. Furthermore, AirAsia is interested in a partnership with flag carrier Thai Airways International (THAI) to create a business synergy without equity partnership or competition, said Deputy Prime Minister Somkid Jatusripitak. AirAsia wants to strengthen its presence in Thailand, which it perceives as a gateway to Asean with significant growth potential in aviation businesses, said Mr Somkid. (Bangkok Post, 30/4/16)
Comment: It would obviously be a huge positive for AirAsia if they can pull it off here in Thailand, but would the government be willing to throw away a monopoly?

Central, partner buy Big C VN for 920m euros – CENTRAL GROUP in partnership with Nguyen Kim Group yesterday announced the acquisition of Big C Vietnam from France’s Casino Group for 920 million euros (Bt36.6 billion). Central said the acquisition represented the strength of its will to keep expanding its business in Asia. “Central Group and Nguyen Kim Group have officially acquired Big C Vietnam, which has been operated for more than 18 years,” said Tos Chirathivat, CEO of Central Group. He said Big C Vietnam had 43 stores nationwide, comprising 33 hypermarkets and 10 convenience stores, and 30 shopping malls. “Total revenue in 2015 was approximately 586 million euros.” (The Nation, 30/4/16)

DTAC urges full spectrum allocation road map – TOTAL ACCESS Communication (DTAC) has recommended that the government draw up a spectrum road map for the allocation and auction of the 700-, 850-, 1,800-, 2,300- and 2,600-megahertz bands to support affordable and universal access to fixed and mobile broadband Internet. (The Nation, 30/4/16)
Comment: Of course DTAC needs a clear roadmap, but since when has any Thai government (ex thaksin) been able to stick to a clear plan and execute it? And if there is no clear roadmap, what will happen to DTAC?

Regulator to sue BBL for payment — The broadcasting regulator will sue Bangkok Bank (BBL), the guarantor of cash-strapped Thai TV Co, after the bank failed to show up and pay 1.78 billion baht on behalf of the digital TV operator on April 18. (Bangkok Post, 25/4/16)
Comment: Then in theory JAS should be sued as well. This lawsuit could take decades to be sorted out.
CHO
CHO board approved a dividend of Bt0.0308/share. This will be both cash (Bt0.0058/share) and stock (10 old shares to 1 dividend). It plans to change its company name. It targets 2016 revenue growth of no less than 5-10% from last year. It has backlog of Bt650mn. (Thun Hoon, 25/04/16)

DTAC
DTAC will not bid for 900 MHz. It reported net profit in 1Q16 of Bt1.3bn, down 45% due to fall in EBITDA, higher depreciation and costs. (Kao Hoon, 25/04/16)

CKP

DAII has budgeted Bt20mn to set up a steel nano factory to supply the ASEAN market in the future. It expects to open two new showrooms. It is confident that 2016 revenue will grow 15% from Bt402mn in 2015 driven by its backlog of Bt1150mn. (Thun Hoon, 08/04/16)
