DEMCO won EGAT project worth Bt1bn which will expand its backlog to Bt8bn. It plans to bid for another new job. It expects 2016 revenue to grow 15% from last year supported by more jobs waiting to be booked. (Thun Hoon, 21/09/16)
Comment: Question is still how much more money will they lose from fixing those wind turbines? A gambling man may be willing to take a bet that 3Q could actually show a profit for the first time this year.

Comment: Another small player, THB 1 bn mkt cap, not particularly cheap nor scalable.
 
PSTC
PSTC expects 2016 revenue growth and profit to double after booking backlog of Bt300-400mn. It expects revenue from its power plant to grow in 4Q16. It has completed a deal to do a biomass power plant and 50MW cogeneration power plant in ASEAN. (Kao Hoon, 19/09/16)
Comment: There’s a lot of news about biomass and waste to energy expected to be announced within the next few weeks.
 
PTT
PTT expects to bring service stations to 200 this year. It expects revenue of Bt520bn. It has a plan to expand to 500 service stations abroad within five years and sell more Amazon franchises in Japan. (Thun Hoon, 19/09/16)

BIZ maintains 2016 revenue target growth of 50-60% and plans to expand its customer base in both government and private hospitals. It expects 2019 revenue to reach Bt1bn and has a three-year plan to do a JV with a private hospital to set up a cancer center. (Kao Hoon, 06/09/16)
Comment: Well its certainly pricing this growth in at these valuation levels
 
BSM
BSM expects to sign a Bt100mn contract for work in Papua New Guinea in early 4Q16. This will support 2H16 earnings. It expects a profit in both 3Q16 and the whole of 2016. It expects the Sansara project to finish around the end of 2017 to early 2018. It targets 2017 revenue of Bt800mn from Bt700mn this year, supported by expanding to Myanmar and Cambodia. CPN
CPN expects 2H16 revenue growth of 12-14% backed by steady growth in same-store sales. It is confident that 2016 revenue will grow 15% supported by opening a new shopping center. It expects to change CPNRF into a REIT at the end of 2016. (Kao Hoon, 06/09/16)
Comment: Given the size of the business today, its rather astounding how well they continue to perform
 
CSL
CSL expects 2016 revenue growth of 2-3%. It plans to expand high-speed internet in condominiums along the BTS line and expects 10,000 customers within this year. (Kao Hoon, 06/09/16)
GLOBAL
GLOBAL expects growth to continue through 2H16 with full-year revenue growth of more than 10%. It expects a net margin of 8.45%. It plans to expand to Myanmar and Cambodia, with a decision to be made next year. It expects to open eight new branches in 2016 and has a five-year budget of Bt10bn. ( Thun Ho on, 06/09/16)
JUBILE

BWG plans to operate RDF phase 2, capacity of 250 tons, by the end of this year. This will ramp up its total capacity to 600 tons per day which can serve three 10MW power plants. (Khao Hoon, 14/07/16)

Comment: Well they should be busy with renting out their cranes for all these infra projects too.
NEP

Comment: And with the call confirming the 100% payout maintained you’re saying shorts covering and some activity returning back to the stock, the key issue for the industry is still how crazy are True going to be with trying to capture market share.

BTS
BTS Group buys 46 trains for Bt11bn. BTSC has signed a contract to buy 46 new trains worth 11 billion baht from Siemens AG and CRRC Changchun Railway Vehicles. The contract provides 46 trains from the two firms, with four cars per train, to be used for the Green Line extension. The money will come from cash flow and loans. It plans to big for the upcoming Pink and Orange lines in the form of public-private partnership. It has a healthy financial position with Bt12bn worth of cash on hand and a low D/E of 0.28, management said.
Comment: Good luck trying to understand their balance sheet, it looks a bit like an investment company versus a pure transit play. 
JMART
JMART expects 2Q16 earnings to grow as consumer purchasing power recovers. It is confident that 2016 revenue and profit will grow, supported by 3G and 4G. (Kao Hoon, 24/5/16)
Comment: Given how poor the phone industry has been they’ve done an ok job but still don’t believe in the turnaround in the market.

AirAsia mulls Thai hub – AirAsia, the continent’s largest no-frills airline group, is keen to boost its position in Thailand with the relocation of its regional nerve centre from Indonesia to here. In a discussion with Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha yesterday, AirAsia chief executive Tony Fernandes said the group would also like to build its own airports in Thai provinces such as Surat Thani. Furthermore, AirAsia is interested in a partnership with flag carrier Thai Airways International (THAI) to create a business synergy without equity partnership or competition, said Deputy Prime Minister Somkid Jatusripitak. AirAsia wants to strengthen its presence in Thailand, which it perceives as a gateway to Asean with significant growth potential in aviation businesses, said Mr Somkid. (Bangkok Post, 30/4/16)
Comment: It would obviously be a huge positive for AirAsia if they can pull it off here in Thailand, but would the government be willing to throw away a monopoly?

Central, partner buy Big C VN for 920m euros – CENTRAL GROUP in partnership with Nguyen Kim Group yesterday announced the acquisition of Big C Vietnam from France’s Casino Group for 920 million euros (Bt36.6 billion). Central said the acquisition represented the strength of its will to keep expanding its business in Asia. “Central Group and Nguyen Kim Group have officially acquired Big C Vietnam, which has been operated for more than 18 years,” said Tos Chirathivat, CEO of Central Group. He said Big C Vietnam had 43 stores nationwide, comprising 33 hypermarkets and 10 convenience stores, and 30 shopping malls. “Total revenue in 2015 was approximately 586 million euros.” (The Nation, 30/4/16)

DTAC urges full spectrum allocation road map – TOTAL ACCESS Communication (DTAC) has recommended that the government draw up a spectrum road map for the allocation and auction of the 700-, 850-, 1,800-, 2,300- and 2,600-megahertz bands to support affordable and universal access to fixed and mobile broadband Internet. Comment: Of course DTAC needs a clear roadmap, but since when has any Thai government (ex thaksin) been able to stick to a clear plan and execute it? And if there is no clear roadmap, what will happen to DTAC?
