AQUA reported 3Q15 net profit of Bt69.61mn (+108.16%). 9M15 net profit was Bt221.96mn (+114.74%) backed by a growth in sales of electricity, warehouses, and ads. (Khao Hoon, 17/11/15)

ATP30 has three new customers. It will supply 30 cars that will contribute revenue from the beginning of 2016. It reported 3Q15 net profit of Bt2mn. 9M15 revenue grew 14.81%. It is confident 2015 revenue will reach Bt270mn (+15%). (Khao Hoon, 17/11/15)

BMCL
BMCL reported 3Q15 net loss of Bt148.18mn (-7%). Ridership rose to 300,000, raising revenue from fares by 9.66% while commercial development revenue rose 6%. (Khao Hoon, 17/11/15)

Comment: We do wonder at what point will CHOW begin to recognise its expansion into Japan

COL
COL expects 2016 revenue to grow 15% from Bt10bn this year. It plans to switch online sales to market place. It has budgeted Bt1bn to broaden its market at home and abroad. (Khao Hoon, 17/11/15)
Comment: A switch from online sales to market place? Wait isn’t this an ecommerce business? I have often thought aloud that for this company to be the equivalent of, say, Amazon, a change in management and mind set would be needed.

KAMART
KAMART expects 2015 net profit to be a five-year high (+140.6%) backed by high margin (more than 55%) from raising the sales of house brands plus seasonality. KAMART shares are of interest to institute investors (via PP) in recognition of its strong fundamentals, earnings growth and regular dividend. It plans to expand abroad. (Thun Hoon, 02/11/15)
Comment: Wouldn’t be surprised to see KAMART do a PP and then shift its business model, beautified solar power plants perhaps?

Comment: Its wonderful news for CHO however it’s one off and then earnings will return to “normal business” levels post this transaction
CPN
CPN has budgeted Bt20bn to open Central Phuket on 111rai, expects this property to be a center of business and tourist attraction. It plans to develop this property for hotels, convention center, and department store which is expected to be done in 2017. (Khao Hoon, 05/08/15)
Comment: Other than the massive mistake that is Central Embassy, CPN is still THE best pure mall play in Thailand.
EA
EA expects 2Q15 net profit to be higher than Bt800mn backed by solar farm, lifting 1H15 net profit to Bt1.4bn. Management is confident 2015 revenue will reach Bt10bn. It targets net profit growth of 50%. It expects annual revenue of Bt6bn from 2017 onward. (Khao Hoon, 05/08/15)
Comment: No change in the story here, however the stock price has seem to lost it’s interest from the investing publich w/ the price off some 33% from its 52 week highs.

Comment: I think the journo’s don’t understand what they are writing here, ANAN isn’t going to have THB 10 bn in revenue in its 2H15, perhaps an additional THB 10bn of new backlog to be recognised in the future.

DCC
DCC plans to open new outlets in Cambodia and Laos. It expects exports to double this year benefitting from numerous orders from Sri Lanka, the Philippines, and Malaysia. It targets sales of Bt7bn with profit in the double digits. (Thun Hoon, 15/07/15)

AP confident in a good 2H14 with more than Bt20bn in backlog expected to be booked. It also plans to launch eight new projects worth more than Bt7bn in 2H14. BEC in talks to find solutions – Bangkok Entertainment Co (BEC), which operates Channel 3 analog programs, has submitted two options for the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) to consider in its proposal to air analog content on a digital TV channel. No deal for Skymark — AAV denies Japanese news that the Malaysian low cost airline is negotiating to acquire Skymark Airline in Japan which is facing financial distress. (Thun Hoon, 20/08/14)
Comment: Skymark shares have risen some 30% on these rumours, no idea if there is truth behind them, wouldn’t see why AirAsia needs to purchase this airline unless T. Fernandes can get it for USD 1 with a massive debt haircut.

AP
Mitsubishi, AP unite for fourth condo project – Mitsubishi Estate Group, one of Japan’s largest developers, will continue its investment in condominium development with SET listed developer AP (Thailand), announcing a fourth joint venture worth Bt3.3bn because it is confident in the long term Thai economic outlook. Both companies target a return on equity of about 20% a year and will focus on locations near mass transit lines in Bangkok. (Bangkok Post, 20/08/14)
Comment: Mitsu apparently has a couple billion dollars ready to put into real estate in SE Asia, and this is wonderful for AP as it helps them do more projects with a lighter balance sheet.

CFRESH
CFRESH studying JV and takeover of feed business. It expects to provide an integrated business. The company expects 3Q14 to grow sharply as it is the high season for its business. It is raising prices and this will expand margin to 15%. It says baht depreciation will help lift net profit in 2014 to Bt400mn from a loss of Bt335mn in 2013. (Thun Hoon, 20/08/14)

DEMCO
DEMCO will build seven power plants with a total capacity of 641MW worth Bt13bn for Wind Energy Holdings, a company that is in the middle of increasing its capital for two big investors this Aug 27 and will be listed on the market next year. Profits for Wind Energy this year are expected to be Bt790mn and increase to Bt1.45bn next year. (Kao Hoon, 20/08/14)
Comment: Just incredible numbers for DEMCO, the value of their holding is likely to be equivalent to their market cap (if not a bit less)

Surge in profit in 4Q12 — BTS posted a 4Q12 profit of Bt1.17 bn, up more than 200%YoY. The impressive earning is supported by15.7% YoY growth in ridership to 600K riders/day. Other businesses, advertising and property, also did well. (Khao Hoon, 14/02/13)

Comment: We’ve commented on BTS quite a few times already, thus the same story holds, its main driver for the past few months is the infrastructure fund

DCC

DCC looking for new high for earnings — DCC expects to post a new high for earnings at Bt430mn, increasing 12–15%YoY, after revising its sales strategy brought growth in January of 14%YoY. (Khao Hoon, 14/02/13)

Comment: Argh! We were hoping the stock prices decline wouldn’t have been noticed, as we we were looking to add this…oh well, good company, strong operations. 

PTTEP

PTTEP seeks extended pay period for $500m debt — PTT Exploration and Production Plc (PTTEP), Thailand’s sole oil and gas explorer, plans to negotiate with banks to reschedule the payment of some of its US$3.7bn in debt. (Bangkok Post, 14/02/13)

SPALI

SPALI sais 2012 presales grew more than 20% — SPALI will announce its 2012 result in late February. Presales grew more than 20%. SPALI will allocate Bt 4-5bn for land acquisition. The company has current backlog of Bt29bn. (Tun Hoon, 14/02/13)
