AOT board approved the plan to develop Hat Yai airport. The development will cover a 2year period with a budget of Bt15.1bn. It expects to support 10mn passengers per year by 2030. (Kao Hoon, 23/09/16)
Comment: It’s quite interesting that nothing is ever really spoken about the development of Southern Thailand. If you look at the numbers, Hat Yai is an important part of Thailand’s economic development.
BEAUTY
BEAUTY is outstanding, with average profit growth of 36% per year in 2016-2017 due to more branches and distribution channels. (Kao Hoon, 23/09/16)
GEL
GEL plans to increase capacity to allow it to handle more jobs, both government and private. It targets increasing the portion of government jobs to 35% from 20% and is confident that 2016 revenue will reach its target of Bt1.8-2bn. GFPT
GFPT is confident that 3Q16 earnings will be good, supported by high season. It plans to increase capacity to handle more exports to Japan. It expects margin to reach 14% from 12% last year due to cost management and expects 2016 revenue growth of 2-3%. (Thun Hoon, 23/09/16)
Comment: Still the best chicken operator in the country. Question now is what will happen to chicken prices over the next 6-12 months?
GUNKUL
GUNKUL targets power plant capacity of 1,000MW in Thailand with 200MW in Japan. It is the first 100% Thai company to be granted loans by large Japanese banks of JPY11.78bn to build a solar power plant with capacity of 38.1MW; COD is expected in 1Q18. (Thun Hoon, 23/09/1 6)

AIS asked to review plan to use Jas spectrum for its 2G customers — THE NATIONAL Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) yesterday asked Advanced Info Service (AIS)to review its plan to protect its 2G subscribers in the part related to Jas Mobile Broadband (JASMBB),citing that the existing plan could not be allowed. (The Nation, 10/3/16) AIS turns down True’s ‘hefty’ B450m payment call for 2G – Advanced Info Service (AIS) has rejected a proposal made by True Corporation for the company to pay what it terms a hefty spectrum fee payment in exchange for retaining its 2G customers on the 900-megahertz network for three months. AJD
AJD and Alibaba will hold a press conference at the end of March. AJD is to partner with Alibaba as a reseller in Thailand. It targets 50,000 customers with revenue of Bt250mn in the first year. It expects to book profit from sales of its online top-up machine. (Kao Hoon, 10/03/16)

Comment: That is their existing business line, there were talks that it was going to expand into other businesses as well. ACAP had always been a rather cheap company on asset value that every once in a while became popular with retail investors, I am curious to see what the new shareholders will do here

AKR
AKR and Nonthaburi cooperatives take part in 5MW solar farm in government unit bidding. It has bid in the Bt1.5bn transformer project for the PEA, winner of which is expected to be announced by this year. (Khao Hoon, 24/11/15)

BROCK expects 2015 revenue growth to meet its 10% target. It expects 4Q15 earnings to be good backed by transfers from Bt40mn backlog. BTS
BTS expects 2HFY16 to be better than 1HFY16 on seasonality. It has budgeted Bt10bn to invest in MRT Green Line. It expects FY2016 revenue to grow 5-10% on the back of 4-6% passenger growth. It plans to sell concessions to BTSGIF. (Khao Hoon, 24/11/15)

ILINK
ILINK expects to get a Bt3bn project from PEA which is expected to put up for bid this year. It expects 2015 revenue of Bt3bn on the back of a Bt2bn submarine cable project at Ko Pha Ngan. CCP is talking with prospective partner to expand to Myanmar and Laos. It expects this expansion to contribute revenue in 4Q15. It expects to get 60-70% of jobs valued at Bt700-800mn, which will raise its backlog from Bt2.3bn. It has budgeted Bt200mn to increase capacity to handle the high number of orders. Comment: Given that they are a small company, any infrastructure works should have a rather positive impact on earnings
DCON
DCON has budgeted Bt400mn to buy land for a condo project. It plans to launch a Bt1.5bn project at Sai Mai in 2016. It expects to benefit from government investment. It expects to complete a deal for a biomass power plant in 4Q15. (Thun Hoon, 21/08/15)

CEI
To change its name to “Advance Connection Corporation Plc” (ACC). The company’s focus will be on energy, trading and property businesses. It plans to hold a shareholders meeting about mid-June for shareholder approval. Foreigners are interested in jointly investing in a power plant in Thailand. CEI is waiting for the purchase power agreement (PPA) for its solar power plant. It has a land bank of ~2,000 rai which it plans to use for the power plant. Comment: Not a bad trade by the owner, the company still doesn’t generate any profits worthy of its valuation, its unlikely to anytime in the future.

AQUA
AQUA expects its performance to improve YoY as it will start booking revenue from its solar power business in Japan. Its first solar farm in Japan will commence operation in 2Q15. Further, its warehouse business, via a subsidiary, will expand its space by 70%. The company plans to list this subsidiary in the near future. (Thun Hoon, 18/02/15)

BH
BH’s shares are favored by foreign investment funds because of the high rate of return. Also, healthcare companies are of interest to global investors. (Khao Hoon, 18/02/15)

CEI plans to reduce par value to Bt0.25/share as well as increase capital via a rights offering at the ratio of 3:1 at Bt0.25/share and private placement of 95.73mn shares at not lower than 90% of market price. Management plans to focus more on renewable energy, property development and e-commerce. CEI has invested Bt80mn to acquire W. Solar shares from WIN to develop solar rooftop project. AJD gets Bt300mn from issuing warrants. The company is studying setting up a subsidiary with a Chinese partner to develop a solar farm. It expects sharp net profit growth in 4Q14 as its set-top box market share is at 50%. It said the issue of 11mn set-top box coupons will push its set top box sales up to more than 3mn boxes or Bt4bn. APCO will hold a press release at the end of this year to announce the result of its big research on LIV products which is expected to help improve the lives of AIDS patients.
