Central Group sells BIGC – Central Group yesterday confirmed it had sold its remaining 25% stake in Big C Supercenter to TCC Group, a holding company owned by tycoon Charoen Sirivadhanabhakdi. (The Nation 11/05/16)
GCAP is beginning to offer nano-finance. It expects this to support its performance in 2H16. It expects loans to grow 50% to Bt400mn. It targets nano-finance loans of Bt20mn this year. It targets 2016 revenue to increase 10-15%. It expects to control NPLs to be under 12%. (Thun Hoon, 11/05/16)

CHO received orders for five catering trucks from customer in UAE, valued at Bt40mn. Delivery is to be in mid-2016. It expects to get 15 more orders, all of which will provide 10% revenue growth this year. (Khao Hoon, 27/01/16)

DCC expects 2015 net profit of Bt1.3bn with Bt7.1bn sales. Its board has approved a dividend payment of Bt0.05/share, XD on Feb 26. (Khao Hoon, 27/01/16)

KCM is talking to a Chinese partner about importing solar cells. It expects this to generate Bt50-100mn revenue. It plans to set up a steel rolling mill in Cambodia. CEI plans to invest in property business through a subsidiary after it has completed restructuring its business model. It plans to open Townline Sattaheep Project, a 32 townhome project valued at Bt200mn. This project will focus on management working in IEs in the east (Chonburi-Rayong). EE expects 2016 performance to turn around after booking revenue from a 240MW power plant from 2Q16. It expects to get a mega project, which it can handle easily with a D/E ratio of zero. It plans to wipe out losses of Bt684.36mn via retained earnings and pay a dividend with a payout ratio of 40%. It is looking for a partner. (Thun Hoon, 28/10/15)

GFPT expects 3Q15 earnings of not less than Bt286mn (+43%), marking a record high on the back of recovery in chicken price and the weaker baht. It targets revenue growth of 10% in 2016. It plans to expand abroad. (Thun Hoon, 28/10/15)
Comment: Still an amazing chicken co regardless of the industry performance.

GLAND expects 3Q15 earnings to outperform backed by Belle Grand Rama 9 project valued at Bt14bn, which has 26% left to transfer. 2015 revenue is expected to be good aided by rental revenue from The Nine, Unilever, and The Shop. It plans to introduce a Bt6bn condominium and Bt3.8bn GLAND Tower. It also plans to invest more in the hotel business. (Thun Hoon, 28/10/15)

AMATA plans to invest in industrial estate in Myanmar, in addition to its existing investment in Vietnam to prepare for the inception of AEC. The company will also increase investment in an information technology system to add more value to its IE. The investment plan should be ready soon. (Krungthep Turakit, 27/01/15)
Comment: It’s a natural development for AMATA to have look at Myanmar however I can also say that I’m planning to expand to investments in Myanmar and raise $ even though its still years away.

ARROW expects revenue growth of 20% and margin of 23-25% this year. The company plans to use capex of ~Bt30mn to build a new plant to serve more pipe conduit orders. (Post Today, 27/01/15)

No ‘trading alert’ — Despite a sharp 118% rally in the stock price since the beginning of this year, the SET says it does not meet the criteria for a “Trading Alert” sign, because the volatile share price movement was due to low liquidity. Comment: Everyone regrets not having these shares, I do wonder if local institutions (i.e. mutual funds) have benefited given that it traditionally isn’t among the top holdings.

CPN – CPN plans Bt10 bn ‘super mall’ — Central Pattana Plc (CPN), the SET-listed retail developer of the Central Group, will build what it is dubbing its first “super mall” in Nonthaburi this year, worth more than Bt10bn near the Bang Yai intersection. (Bangkok Post, 30/01/13)

Comment: CPN continues to dominate the retail mall market here in Thailand, valuations still have us shuddering in fear

EARTH – To list in Germany — EARTH plans to be listed in the stock market in Frankfurt. Management sees it as an opportunity to raise funds from abroad as they believe the company has strong fundamentals that will attract foreign investors. Coal sales this year are expected to reach 8mn tons. (Khao Hoon, 30/01/13)

Comment: I do like what I’ve seen with this company so far.
