AOT board approved the plan to develop Hat Yai airport. The development will cover a 2year period with a budget of Bt15.1bn. It expects to support 10mn passengers per year by 2030. (Kao Hoon, 23/09/16)
Comment: It’s quite interesting that nothing is ever really spoken about the development of Southern Thailand. If you look at the numbers, Hat Yai is an important part of Thailand’s economic development.
BEAUTY
BEAUTY is outstanding, with average profit growth of 36% per year in 2016-2017 due to more branches and distribution channels. (Kao Hoon, 23/09/16)
GEL
GEL plans to increase capacity to allow it to handle more jobs, both government and private. It targets increasing the portion of government jobs to 35% from 20% and is confident that 2016 revenue will reach its target of Bt1.8-2bn. It expects 2017 earnings to be good with revenue growth of 15-20%. It plans a JV with a partner to support business. (Thun Hoon, 23/09/16)
GFPT
GFPT is confident that 3Q16 earnings will be good, supported by high season. It plans to increase capacity to handle more exports to Japan. It expects margin to reach 14% from 12% last year due to cost management and expects 2016 revenue growth of 2-3%. (Thun Hoon, 23/09/16)
Comment: Still the best chicken operator in the country. Question now is what will happen to chicken prices over the next 6-12 months?
GUNKUL
GUNKUL targets power plant capacity of 1,000MW in Thailand with 200MW in Japan. It is the first 100% Thai company to be granted loans by large Japanese banks of JPY11.78bn to build a solar power plant with capacity of 38.1MW; COD is expected in 1Q18. (Thun Hoon, 23/09/1 6)

BCP negotiating with Indonesian partner to set up a geothermal power JV. It expects a decision to be made in September. It will continue to hold second place in its market with a share of 15%. CHO
CHO expects to get a big project valued at Bt800mn. It targets revenue growth of 10% and expects 2Q16 to show a profit thanks to more orders. It has backlog of Bt600mn, of which it has booked Bt400mn. (Thun Hoon, 03/08/16)
FSMART
FSMART has no effect from the cancellation of World Cup tickets and maintains its revenue target growth at 30%. It plans to expand to 90,000 Boon-Term machines nationwide. (Kao Hoon, 03/08/16)
GL
GL expects 2H16 earnings to step up after realizing profit from its JV in Indonesia. It targets loans to reach US$1bn within 2018 and will expand to Cambodia and Laos. (Thun Hoon, 03/08/16 )
Comment: The key driver for GL will still only be Cambodia, Laos and Indonesia will be too small to have an impact

AIRA

CI
CI indicates 1Q16 earnings will exceed target of Bt500-600mn supported by more project transfers. It expects 2016 revenue will hit target of Bt3bn. It has backlog of more than Bt2.5- 2.6bn, of which it will realize 50% this year. The company will book a Bt1.2bn extra gain from the sale of Sripanwa phase 2 to REIT in 2H16. (Thun Hoon, 05/04/16)

FPI
FPI board approved a dividend of Bt0.07/share, payment on April 29. It sets 2016 revenue target growth of 10%. It plans to build a factory in India and start operating in 4Q16. It has orders amounting to more than Bt300mn. (Thun Hoon, 05/04/16)
GPSC
GPSC plans to spend Bt3.15bn to invest in a 20.8MW solar farm in Japan. It expects to sell electricity in 4Q16. (Thun Hoon, 05/04/16)

DEMCO

Comment: No surprises here, more curious to see how 2Q16 plays out.
JAS
JAS stock price was up even if it does not get a 4G license. Investors view the abandoning of a license as positive, as it means it will not take on a debt load of Bt100bn and thus limits losses. JAS plans to deal with AIS and TOT to push “fixed broadband”. (Kao Hoon, 03/03/16)

Comment: They are posting relatively amazing numbers versus what AAV, THAI and Nok has.
BCH
BCH reported three-year best for net profit from lower loss from WMC. It targets 2016 earnings to be good because WMC is expected to reach breakeven in 2H16. (Thun Hoon, 02/03/16)
EFORL
EFORL reported 2015 revenue growth of 211%. It will pay a dividend of Bt0.203/share. It plans to cooperate with BORSAM to be a distributor of portable electrocardiographs. It plans to launch cosmetic products carrying the Wuttisak brand. (Khao Hoon, 02/03/16)
Comment: No real surprise re the earnings growth as it’s been known for the past 2 years that Wuttisak was coming in and will be spun off.

Comment: They have continued to benefit from the expansion of condominiums, warehouses and now potentially infrastructure in Thailand

BIGC

Comment: They do seem to have a lot of momentum behind over the past few years. I do remember a decade ago BWG had several issues w/ environmentalists and local residents but it seems to have been able to move on.

ILINK
ILINK expects to get projects from ADVANC, DTAC and TRUE (rental of fiber optic cable). It expects 2015 revenue to be higher than Bt3bn and expects to grow significantly next year. It expects to get Bt10bn new projects. (Thun Hoon, 15/12/15)
Comment: ILINK’s stock, like several others, just collapsed in the last 2 weeks but there are still going to benefit from all this IT expansion that Thailand has.

IRPC
IRPC expects UHV project to start up in 2Q16. It expects this to increase its refinery efficiency. It is talking to PTTGC about an M&A. (Khao Hoon, 15/12/15)

KSL
KSL expects 2016 revenue growth of 5-10% backed by increase in sugar cane production from 8.6mn tons to 9mn tons. It expects sugar price to be stable at US$0.14-0.15/lb. It plans to invest in the power business with TSE. It has budgeted Bt800mn to expand ethanol plants. (Thun Hoon, 15/12/15)

NCL

CK plans to take part in bids for Bt600bn in public projects next year. It expects to win about 20%. It won a dual-track project (Jira-Khon Kaen) which will increase its backlog to Bt100bn from Bt77bn. (Post Today, 10/12/15)

CPN

DTAC
DTAC reports that roaming data usage this year has grown 50% with voice roaming slipping around 10%. Total revenue from roaming is Bt600mn, close to last year. (Khao Hoon, 26/11/15)

Comment: There’s something interesting happening here with EGCO being one of the few utility companies to potentially grow 20% p.a. for the next 5 years.
