Comment: Another small player, THB 1 bn mkt cap, not particularly cheap nor scalable.
 
PSTC
PSTC expects 2016 revenue growth and profit to double after booking backlog of Bt300-400mn. It expects revenue from its power plant to grow in 4Q16. It has completed a deal to do a biomass power plant and 50MW cogeneration power plant in ASEAN. (Kao Hoon, 19/09/16)
Comment: There’s a lot of news about biomass and waste to energy expected to be announced within the next few weeks.
 
PTT
PTT expects to bring service stations to 200 this year. It expects revenue of Bt520bn. It has a plan to expand to 500 service stations abroad within five years and sell more Amazon franchises in Japan. (Thun Hoon, 19/09/16)

BANPU expects to benefit from higher coal imports in China, which rose 62.2% in May 2016 compared to May 2015. (Thun Hoon, 24/06/16)

BBL targets 2016 loan growth of 3-4%. It expects 2Q16 earnings to move with the economy and government stimulus measures. (Khao Hoon, 24/06/16) BIG BIG says it has risen to a 55% market share driven by expansion. It expects the industry to recover. It expects net profit to grow 71% this year and 12% next year. Comment: And yet their growth hasn’t really materialised. I still like their distribution business in Myanmar and this should pay off for them in the future but for now things don’t look exciting.

Comment: Arguably this is the last decent quarter that developers may show profit wise for the year, although given that pre-sale launches were minimal over the past 2 years since the coup, some are betting that we’ll begin to see huge presale #’s this year.

Comment: They do have a very interesting business here and up until this year have been growing quite consistently over the past 7 years.

BECL/BMCL

Comment: There’s nothing new here in terms of stories nor valuation, in the end its a good move for CK to not have to inject additional capital into BMCL

CCP is talking with prospective partner to expand to Myanmar and Laos. It expects this expansion to contribute revenue in 4Q15. It expects to get 60-70% of jobs valued at Bt700-800mn, which will raise its backlog from Bt2.3bn. It has budgeted Bt200mn to increase capacity to handle the high number of orders. Comment: Given that they are a small company, any infrastructure works should have a rather positive impact on earnings
DCON
