BANPU plans to list subsidiary Banpu Power (BPP) on the SET in 1Q16. It targets an increase in electricity capacity from 1,878MW to 2,700MW to 4,000MW in the long term. (Khao Hoon, 09/09/15)
Comment: This should change the value proposition in BANPU dramatically.

BROCK
BROCK is talking to three prospective partners to invest in mixed-use property in Phuket, valued at Bt10bn. It expects 3Q15 earnings to be good backed by high orders. It expects 2015 revenue to grow 10%. (Thun Hoon, 09/09/15)

BSM
BSM expects to expand to Australia, finalized within 1-2 months. A JV with KCM proceeds as planned. It expects 2H15 revenue to be good backed by Bt30mn from Myanmar and India. It expects 2015 revenue to achieve target of 20% growth. (Thun Hoon, 09/09/15)
Comment: Always liked this company, never liked its valuation.

DCON
DCON expects 2H15 revenue to be good aided by 16,000 foundation piles for EA’s solar farm and high demand from private power projects and public investment. It has budgeted Bt500mn to acquire land. (Thun Hoon, 09/09/15)
Comment: DCON’s price is returning back to earth as the news of the condominium recognition is well known in the market.

BCP
BCP says 2014 EBITDA will exceed Bt10bn from Bt5bn in 1H14 as oil price in 2H14 is more stable and the company book will revenue from its biodiesel and solar farm projects. (Post Today, 19/08/14)
Comment: The issue arising from BCP is in regards to their latest E&P expansion, not too sure if they’re overpaying.

APCO

APCO and partner Wan Global Ventures, have launched BIM and Gold Shape in six countries; sales are expected to be not less than Bt100mn in the first year. It continues to enter the AEC market and will set up new selling agents. It expects revenue growth of more than 50% YoY in 1H14. (Kao Hoon, 22/07/14)

AUCT

AUCT adjusts strategy by selling vehicle engines to be used in tractors and other agricultural needs, supported by demand from farmers as the price is 40-50% below the cost of a vehicle. It reports that the personal car market is still sluggish, despite the fact that the BoI approved eco-car phase 2. (Bangkok Biz, 22/07/14)

Comment: They have the distribution ready, they have been auctioning cars for years, this is just another product through their list of products that they can collect a fee on for selling with no inventory risk.

AOT

AOT: FY3Q14 earnings (Apr-Jun) will increase by 6% YoY supported by tax benefits and lower interest payments. It also said to watch for plans from the NCPO to stimulate the tourism sector. AOT said flights were full and low-cost airlines are supporting revenue. (Tun Hoon, 16/07/14)

Comment: AOT will continue to benefit as it is a monopoly in one of the top tourist destinations in the world.

BTS

BTS wins job to set up a common ticketing system by proposing the lowest price at Bt339mn. The management said that although the proposed price is low, the company is confident that they can complete the work as required due to its experience and ability to manage cost. The Office of Transport and Traffic Policy and Planning (OTP) is expected to sign the agreement within a month and a half. (Kao Hoon, 16/07/14)

EMC

EMC: revenue to hit 2014 target of Bt2.5bn supported by backlog worth Bt3bn. It expects to receive new work worth Bt700mn in the near future and it plans to bid for more new work worth Bt3bn to help support revenue in 4Q14. It plans to open a new community mall worth Bt300mn this year. (Tun Hoon, 16/07/14)

AEC

Purchase of AAMC Asset Management approved — AEC says the shareholders approved the purchase of AAMC Asset Management Co., Ltd. It will take 90% for Bt28.12mn. The purchase is being made to expand the variety of the business it is engaged in and create growth opportunities. (Naew Na, 23/06/14)

Comment: The regulatory environment in Thailand requires all these silly licenses before any firm can manage funds on behalf of clients.

PCA

First day of trading. PCA is expected to close its IPO price of Bt2.8 to over Bt4. CEO Prapat says the company has strong fundamentals and high growth due to a fast change in technology. It expects revenue growth of 15-20% YoY and is ready to produce set-top boxes. (Khao Hoon, 23/06/14)

Comment: Well…it’s a small IPO, so the it’s the same story.

PPP

PPP has fundamental strength and low D/E, and is preparing to enter alternative energy. Suradej Boonyawatana aims to get into all forms of alternative energy and hopes to obtain a minimum of 30MW per deal in 2014. It expects to set up a joint venture with a foreigner to enter power plant business in Japan, Myanmar, and Laos. It says 2Q14 performance will be good and support 2014 revenue growth target of 10% YoY. It expects sharp growth in 2015. (Tun Hoon, 23/06/14)

Comment: This isn’t a surprise they had set up PP Wind Energy Co last year to explore this deal potential.

Comment: Trading a 0.03/0.04 per share @ a mkt cap of THB 3.7bn, it’s hard to get excited about this.

IRPC
IRPC reports fire broke out at its diesel plant in Rayong, reducing revenue Bt400-500mn per month. It will face losses in 2Q14, if it book provision expense. It has insurance US$1.2bn and expects GIM at US$8.5. (Khao Hoon, 11/06/14)

Moved to mai — AJP was moved to the mai market yesterday. The company’s share price surged an astonishing Bt17.57 to close at Bt17.80, a rise of 7,639.13%. In 2010, shares were trading at only Bt1.10/share. In yesterday’s trading, shares were trading the highest and lowest at Bt17.80 and Bt9.85/share, respectively, with a high trading volume of Bt2.964bn. (Khao Hoon, 12/09/13)

Comment: Friends had been asking me about all this yesterday, hardly anyway to participate unless you’re friend of the owners and bought shares pre the company returning to the MAI

IVL

Still expects 15% revenue growth this year — IVL is standing by its target revenue growth of 15% this year as it expects revenues to reach US$7.8bn supported by better PET-PTA spreads in the second half of the year. The company is hurrying to improve its factories as it hopes to push its capacity to a maximum level. (Khao Hoon, 12/09/13)

Comment: Its a margin game for IVL, they have done a good job, I believe, of going in and buying factories/companies around the world when the margin’s were low and they were suffering, once the industry begins to appreciate again this company will do very very well.
