Not much has been written about the upcoming AEC in 2015 when ASEAN is going to be more integrated. There are three interesting news articles that came to my attention that companies are starting now in anticipation of this.

When talking to friends in the manufacturing business, the majority are looking forward to it as they can see more opportunities in expanding their customer base as well as improving their operations with staff from different nationalities. Personally I think Thailand could really benefit from this given its geographic location within the region and its logistic infrastructure, now if only the government could get its act together and improve investor confidence by showing a plan to prevent another flood crisis so that FDI in Thailand can increase again!
