Management Trades 12/11 – 16/11
Notable Transactions
Buy(s) THB 209 mn
- DCORP – A switch amongst directors. A rather odd company in the end.
- ORI – We were unsurprised by the drop in share price, and are surprised by founders buying shares…well..lets see
Sell(s) THB 248 mn
- AMA – Thats a huge block sale, wonder who the buyer is.
- BEAUTY – Another massive block sale, if the upside is so wonderful why is there such a huge amount of selling done the major shareholders?
- DCORP – See above
- PACE – Goodbye.
Note: This is the first time in months that I’ve seen a lot of buying by management/directors/founders and vice versa for certain names.

@the big sale at BEAUTY:
judging from today’s stock performance, one has to wonder whether the owner knew or suspected that there will be anything negative coming up…

Weaker than expected numbers wouldn’t be a surprise given the drop in chinese visitors.
Question will be @ what point will this name become attractive again?
peter satrapa-binder
less chinese visitors had been the case since a few weeks/months ago already. but maybe there had been a new factor causing today’s quite large fall, apart from the currently generally weak sentiment.
@attractive again: there will probably still be some way to go before that will happen again.
Pon
confirmation was only recent.

Beauty rise and fall has been remarkably similar to Fsmart. Dwindling growth at higher and higher bases, coupled with ridiculous valuations and an attempted share buy back to defend the price which hasn’t worked…

thx for your link, pon!:)

well, i guess beauty has had its ‘gold rush phase’ (when it went up to over 20) but since after its big fall i think investors just see it as ‘normal’ company – and for such a valuation of 20 PER is still a little bit expensive, especially considered the current stock market climate and the problems with the chinese customer segment…
the question is: can they really establish their brand on an international basis in the future? i think their concept is good, but it’s to see whether they really can internationally compete and expand against the big names in this industry… thailand alone would not be enough.
