2024 was a trading year for the SET, the launch of Vayupak fund (#3) took the market up from 1250 to 1400 levels and the market effectively hovered around allowing the SET to be flat for the year in THB terms. But if you had ADVANC, TRUE, CCET, DELTA, GULF then you made out like a gangster.

What can we expect for 2025? Thailand has one big story for the year, it’s the casino plays Random Thoughts – Money money moneyyy – Casino Plays | ThaiCapitalist, otherwise there’s nothing else. I don’t see any political mess because this current government is the perfect Thai government, in the sense that it combines royalty, military and oligarchs. Everyone is getting paid here…there’s no issue at political instability – the only question is whether Mr T’s 3rd go at running the country is going to yield the same benefits as in the past. My simple thesis is that whilst it’s a massive improvement from the military donkey kongs that ruined the country over the past decade, the base is higher, and the rate of change is going to be minimal.
