Market Update 13/03 – 17/03
Erm, there’s been nothing exciting. Except maybe Brazilian poultry and meat issues that have now given any shareholders in cpf, gfpt, and tfg reason to exit.

HiPon, CPF is on my watch list. You write ”Brazilian poultry and meat issues that have now given any shareholders in cpf, gfpt, and tfg to exit.” should the text say ”reason to exit” ? thanks

Some perspective from a couple of months ago: https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2017-01-30/growing-hunger-for-brazilian-chicken-as-bird-flu-crisis-spreads-iyjbxsms. As you can see, things have moved on and once again, hesitation sets in when reading Bloomberg in this instance. Ancillary stocks here, e.g., TVO which supplies soymeal for feed, have taken a big hit, the numbers speak louder than words. TVO was outperforming CPF handsomely but when this market catches the flu, the vertically integrated CPF prevails. So far.

correct, my brain moves faster than my fingers.
Basically because the prices of these names have moved to levels where people are expecting that the agricultural product prices will remain high for the next few years. Highly unlikely.
