And now the SET is only up +1.9% for the year. So now what?
Banks – My thoughts haven’t changed on this sector for the past few years and I don’t think it will change for another 12 months (though I may wake up in the morning and suddenly have a different viewpoint)
Energy/Commodity related – I’m beginning to think that there is a lot of upside potential in commodity (non-spread) related names such as coal, oil etc. Why? Globally for the past … decade? There’s been cheap loans/rates available for the companies to expand, so there’s a lot of excess capacity in the system…but with some wobbling in the credit markets => financing dries up => excess supply disappears => commodity prices spike, when did this last happen? late 00’s? The question is just when….
