AOT announced the FY passenger numbers for 2014 and its clear to see that:

• Low Cost Carriers are booming with the shift to Don Muang – hence the need for more expansion there
• Bangkok as a whole – barely an increase for the year, in fact I’ve heard from multiple people that love to visit the islands comment that now they no longer want to stop by Bangkok.
• Domestic travelling has helped buoyed the numbers up +16% whilst international as a whole -5.6%
