Just as I was about to put up 4 new articles I realised that this was post # 3,000. Holy $hit, that is correct, this is post # 3,000. Time flies, I started writing on this blog for fun in 2011, and perhaps a bit more seriously since September 2011. So first thank you for reading. And second, thank you to the friends that help(ed) me set this up and maintain it.
Why TC?
I had been reading several other blogs, books, etc etc and had convinced myself that taking the time, whether it be 5 minutes for the stocks in the news posts or an hour to a day per article. The thinking was and still is that when I am writing my thoughts, viewpoints, comments on the market, events, companies etc it does help me personally frame a viewpoint, and because it would be done publicly then I should be (perhaps not always) taking it what I write a bit more seriously.
Now the articles/posts on here have evolved over time, in the beginning posts were perhaps 500 words on average of my thoughts/rambling on events to a combination of daily/weekly/monthly posts of news, trades, market, events, interviews with company executives and thoughts. Granted in the past 6 months the number of long posts has decreased dramatically as events are less volatile and personally there hasn’t been much that has piqued my curiousity.
So what for the next 3,000?
Who knows…I’ll put up what I find interesting, what I think improves how I want to look at ideas, the world, and what I may find amusing.
I will definitely stay away from recommendations, that’s not my purpose here, I’m happy to discuss ideas in comments and whilst there have been hints towards companies or events that I like or dislike – although from reading what I’ve written in the past its been rather obvious what I disliked i.e. PACE!
So thanks again, enjoy these rambles, and as I’ve been telling everyone I know, 2018 is going to be a great year!
Chris
We, all the Readers and Followers have to Thank you. As you are one of the few Independent Information sources here for Foreigners.
good that you stay away from recommendations, the few in Thailand who post Buy or Sell Calls here are usually terrible wrong and produce the same Results like the Local Brokers with their Recommendations: Nothing !
The Sites who charge for their Service Memberfees are even struggle to beat the TDEX SET 50(TR) ETF.
So Pond, please Keep running 🙂
