So she’s out and now what?
So as you all know she’s out…and what has really changed? Oh yes there are 9 other cabinet members that are out too so there are still 25 cabinet members remaining who have just appointed deputy PM & commerce minister Niwattumrong Boonsonpaisarn to become the acting PM.
- Guess what? He’s an ex-executive of Shin Corp, so nothing’s changed
- Suthep et al are still on the streets planning yet another “final” rally, so nothing’s changed.
- Red shirts coming? Some bombs have gone off around Bangkok last night (or were they linked to Hat Yai’s bombings..?), sounds like 2010, so nothing’s changed.
- So now its up to the Election Commission to draft a royal decree for a new election date which had been “agreed” between the government and EC for the 20th July or will the protestors and Abhisit come out against this too? (if they do…nothing’s changed)
- Market impact? I’m more worried about these bombings…tourism is going to be hurt much harder for the next 1-2 quarters, investment will be zilch, NPL’s up, etc etc etc…sounds like the same story from 6 months ago, so nothing’s changed.
- Welcome to Thailand, where nothing changes…
