CENTEL
CENTEL says 2H17 earnings will be outstanding, driven by domestic consumption recovery. It plans to invest Bt2.5bn for long term growth and to bid for the KFC franchise. It believes that 2017 earnings will be as targeted. (Thun Hoon, 31/7/17)
Comment: Well they should theoretically win it all, in the end it will come down to the price and the owners over at Yum aren’t cheap.
EARTH
SEC to penalize EARTH since it did not send the special audit reports by the July 24 deadline. EARTH did not provide additional information regarding restructuring by the July 27 deadline. (Khao Hoon, 31/7/17)

LHBANK
LHBANK received Bt16.5bn from CTBC Bank, giving that bank 35.61% of paid up capital. (Thun Hoon, 31/7/17)

MCOT said its online platform is growing. It plans to use mobile content to boost growth. (Khao Hoon, 31/7/17)

PTTEP
PTTEP posted 2Q17 earnings of Bt7.5bn, +183%YoY, driven by higher oil prices. 1H17 earnings were Bt18.81bn, +139%. It will pay a dividend of Bt1.5/share, XD on August 8. It plans to join with PTT to set PTTGLI, putting in US$500mn. (Khao Hoon, 31/7/17)
