Stocks in the news (ADVANC, BIGC, JAS, SCCC, SIRI, WHA) 12.02.14
ADVANC
ADVANC reported net profits for 2013 at Bt36.27bn, a 4% increase YoY, supported by growth in revenue from internet services. It will pay a dividend of Bt5.75/share, bringing the year’s dividend to Bt12.15/share. This year, it targets service revenue to grow by 6-8%. (Khao Hoon, 12/02/14)
Comment: A 4% Increase isn’t much to brag about for this telco, and it looks like 1Q14 numbers won’t be anything special, but with such a dividend paid (6%) out annually I can’t see the price dropping much from these levels
BIGC
2013 profit Bt6.98bn, +Bt902mn or +14.8% YoY. The net profit growth came from operations. (Khao Hoon, 12/02/14)
Comment: Their numbers were released last night, main issue we saw was that SSS declined nearly 5% YoY, so BIGC has to continue squeezing its suppliers and improving its operations just to maintain growth
JAS
JAS reported 2013 net profit of Bt3.00bn, a 48% increase YoY, supported by rising broadband revenues and stable operating expenses and cost of sales and services. It will pay a dividend of Bt0.25/share, XD on Feb 21. A shareholder’s meeting for approval will be held on Apr 25, 2014. (Khao Hoon, 12/02/14)
Comment: I want to see their infrastructure fund happen, because I really have my doubts
SCCC
SCCC reports 2013 net profit of Bt4.80bn, a 31.9% increase YoY, driven by an increase in demand for cement and construction materials, pushing revenues up 13.3% YoY to Bt29.95bn. Total dividend payment for 2013 is Bt15/share. For 2H13, it will pay Bt7/share. (Khao Hoon, 12/02/14)
Comment: From our understanding this company is able to shift more to exports and is less Thailand dependent for its sales
SIRI
SIRI is preparing to launch 5 new projects worth Bt8.8bn. It expects growth in 1Q14 revenue and aims at 2014 revenue of Bt34bn. (Tun Hoon, 12/2/14)
