Stocks in the news (advanc, caz, ivl, smt, tta, tu) 04.11.22
ADVANC: 3Qnp at Bt 6.03b -5.4% yoy; missed Bt 6.42b consensus, core service revenue +1% yoy; -0.5% qoq as inflation eroded purchasing power on price sensitive mobile users.
Comment: Far better than DTAC & TRUE…for now…
CAZ: awarded 2 construction contracts total Bt 143m.
IVL: joins bidding race against Bain Capital & CVC for PET film maker, PTL.
Comment: Didn’t realise this was in play, cookie munster has a competitor now! (if true)
SMT: 3Qnp at Bt 102m +82% yoy, thanks to strong demand for PCBA, optics, IC packaging and box build for electronic devices.
Comment: Bump due to delays in 4q21-1q22
TTA: subsidiary, V Ventures, in talks to buy troubled crypto exchange, Zipmex, tabloid.
Comment: Interesting….or is it? Still rather annoyed that TTA didn’t pay dividends in the same way that PSL has done from this period of high ship prices.
TU: revised up FY revenue growth target to 10-12% from 7-8% prior, sees positive 4Q sales momentum on pet foods, ready-meals & HVA products, 3 new plants on track to cod next year.

Pon: what happens with the ITC spinoff from TU? They announced it earlier this year, then communicated a split ratio, which is now changed, and maybe still this year a price may be set. How many shares each shareholder gets will be communicated by registered post.
I have never seen a simple spin off administered in such a clumsy fashion. Is it the Board of TU or their financial adviser which lacks kinow how?
