AJ reaffirms 10% FY21 BOPET sales volume target driven by strong packaging demand & larger footprint in SEA from colab with SCG Chemicals, sees wider margins 2H following px hike in 2Q, allot Bt 1.4b capex to boost capacity in SEA.
AOT amended terms of use for operation of 6 airports with Department of Airports and the RTAF, and extended contract from the remaining 11 years to 30 years, will pay Bt85.5b as min compensation for use of state property from 2022-2051.
Comment: These are odd developments by the government enterprises…but nothing really should surprise you under this government. It’s been a different 7 years.

GFPT anticipates FY21 flat yoy from Bt14.3b registered in FY20 as higher raw material costs for animal feeds production offset with higher THB revenue from weak currency, 5th chicken processing plant on track to cod 4Q lifts capacity by 2.5kt/month, expects turnaround next year.
Comment: If soft commodity prices (i.e. soybean, one of their key raw mats) weren’t so high, they would be 40% higher by now.
MSC reaffirms 5% revenue growth target this year, sees better 2H, to boost contribution from service revenue to 20% from 18% by end of year.
SCB will jointly set up venture capital fund with CP Group, total size ~$600-800m, will invest in fin-tech business and other emerging tech. SCB will also set up a new JV with Millennium Group for HP, leasing and refinancing business for cars, motorbikes and watercrafts.
Comment: It was a fun 24 hours watching all of this unfold, so many theories and commentaries going around the market at the moment.
