BPP invests Bt442m in 2 solar power plants combined 50mw (15 & 35) in Vietnam, transaction to completed within 2Q.
GULF forms venture with Power Construction Corp of China to develop 770mw hydropower projects in Laos, TH authority (EGAT) is buyer of electricity from the projects, target cod in FY32.

ITEL: Australian data center & colocation services provider, ETIX Everywhere, buys 67% stake of Genesis Data Center from AIT & WHA, ITEL & ETIX become joint owners post transaction.
Comment: Well that’s a great exit for AIT and WHA.
LST expected to report strong 4Q21 & 1Q22 earnings from hidden value of 70% holding in palm oil producer (UPOIC), upside from cooking products exports to China & India on F&B & hotels reopening.
MICRO upbeats FY22 outlook from improving demand for commercial vehicles, target new loan +50% yoy above Bt3.3b, lifts loanbook >Bt5b by end of year, exploring new products to complement hire purchase business.
RS sets Bt1.2b capex for 1-2 M&As, firms on Bt5.1b revenue target this year, with 12-14% net profit growth.
Comment: The main story for the year from this is that they may list the AMC Chase in 4Q22

Wow, just saw the news on PlanB acquiring Aqua’a OOH business. I hold a large position in Aqua because for the last 5 years I have always considered consolidation to be a real possibility in the OOH space. I also hold Susco for the same reason, and I’m starting to think that perhaps Demco could be a takeover target for a larger player like Gunkul.

Gunkul won’t bother with demco.
Susco – family doesn’t want to sell, and PTG which was a potential buyer wasn’t interested. Who else could. Though I did like their holding in BAFS years ago.

Probably not for Demco, but I do see more consolidation in the retail oil market, and Susco is the logical choice. If they swoop in with an offer of say 50% above the market price, perhaps shareholders would bite. The main family doesn’t hold a controlling stake anyway.
