AMA expects to finish the deal to buy a second ship within 2Q17 and expects the ship to be in service in April. This will increase 2017 capacity to 72,000 tons from currently 46,000 tons. Comment: So the price ran up to the day before and today it decided to retreat. Rather typical story, although with smaller names you normally do see the price run continue. Regardless its AOT, its a monopoly, in a location where travelers are still continuing to come to in droves.
 
BCPG
BCPG COD its 14.38MW solar farm in Japan on Jan 20, one month earlier than expected. It expects all projects in Japan to move forward as planned and has been using modern technology to reduce cost. (Kao Hoon, 09/02/17)
BEAUTY
BEAUTY expects 1Q17 to be good supported by more orders. It expects 2017 revenue growth of 20% YoY driven by customer expansion both in Thailand and abroad. It plans to expand its products in King Power to bring in more revenue. (Thun Hoon, 09/02/17)
Comment: So 4Q  #’s are crap, they say its short term. Let’s see how it unfolds otherwise this high flying selling of crap may see its multiple collapse. 
 
BWG
BOI gave the okay for BWG’s industrial waste power plant in Saraburi. Total investment cost will be Bt312.5mn with capacity of 108,000 tons per year. (Thun Hoon, 09/02/17)

CGD
CGD’s board approved a capital increase of 929.83mn shares to be privately placed, priced at Bt1.1/share. It will use the funds to buy “Profit Venture” to develop a project in Chachoengsao. It will submit the plan to shareholders for approval at the shareholders meeting on Apr 27. (Kao Hoon, 09/02/ 17)
Comment: Right…well its a company thats run for personal use not for the benefit of all shareholders.
 
CNT
CNT has signed a new contract worth Bt2.2bn and plans to bid for a parking and office building at Suvarnabhumi Phase ll to expand its backlog by Bt10bn which will be booked through 4Q17. It plans to expand into Myanmar to support revenue. (Thun Hoon, 09/02/17)
Comment: And that has helped to finally drive it’s languishing stock price
 

CPI
CPI targets 2017 revenue growth of 10% supported by an uptrend in palm oil price. It expects to start up its second palm extraction factory and a biomass power plant with capacity of 6.2MW in 1Q17. It will sell 4MW of electricity to EGAT under the FiT program. (Thun Hoon, 09/02/17)
DELTA
DELTA expects 1Q17 to be good as orders from abroad continue to grow. It is investing in R&D to develop more products. It has budgeted Bt300-400mn to acquire at least one business this year. (Thun Hoon, 09/02/17)
EKH
EKH targets 2017 revenue growth of 8-10% and continues to invest. It plans to build a new pediatric center at a cost of Bt200mn and also plans other investment, with further details to be provided later this year. (Thun Hoon, 09/02/17)
KSL
KSL targets 2017 revenue growth of no less than 10% supported by rising sugar price and more exports. It estimates an average full-year price no less than 20 cents per pound. It is confident that the power plant business will return to normal and expects revenue of Bt2.5bn per year backed by the sale of 50MW more electricity. It has budgeted more than Bt1bn in 2H17 to increase ethanol capacity by 200,000 liter. (Thun Hoon, 09/02/17)
Comment: The kicker for them will come from it’s IPO of their sub later this year 
 
RJH
RJH is renovating an existing building, which will add 23 beds to its IPD service. This is expected to finish in 2Q17. It expects this to bring IPD revenue up to 50% of total revenue and expects 2017 earnings growth of 10-15%, driven by customer expansion. (Thun Hoon, 09/02/17)
Comment: We were debating how much can we 1 hospital bed per worth? Hotel rooms are “typically” THB 5-20 mn per key, hospitals? 30 mn/bed? 50 mn/bed?
 
SPA
SPA expects 1Q17 earnings to show outstanding growth after reaching a new high in revenue in January. It expects 2017 revenue growth of 30%. It has budgeted Bt250mn to open new branches and has a goal of 40 branches. (Thun Hoon, 09/02/17)
SVI
SVI expects 2016 net profit of Bt1.5bn after insurance claims have all been received and recorded, with revenue back to normal in 2017. It plans to open a new factory in Cambodia, which will start operations at the end of 2017. (Kao Hoon, 09/02/17)
THANI
THANI targets 2017 loan growth of 10-12% to reach Bt20bn. It expects its share of the truck leasing market to rise to 20-24%. It expects costs to continue to decrease and lift profit by 6% to reach Bt933mn. (Thun Hoon, 09/02/17)
  1. AOT: a NR dated Feb 15, 2017 provided an explanation of the auditors comments re; the impact of renewing the state property lease. As I read it, the current basis is a revenue sharing one. That means that all that vacant land around the 6 airports can be held at no cost to AOT; that is, until they develope it and generate revenue. AOT’s 10 year development plan (budget 200 billion) . Pon, do you see this as blue sky?
