Comment: They already had a 9% stake, just taking control for USD 200 mn, Maspion isn’t a real bank, its a license play. I have no idea how long it will take for KBANK to realise a return on this..

they are not a very large company – so i guess a loss of a few tens of million baht (at the current bitkub price app. -46 mn thb) will be really painful for them.

Yes if that’s the case, the company appears to be saying that there is a buyback clause with bitkub. Bitkub appears to be more at risk with this agreement to have to stump up the cash to proen by next year.
And sure, if they have to write this down to zero, they’ll lose 2q-4q’s of earnings, from which the company moves on. If the investors don’t like it, sell the shares and move on.
