CGD gets B13bn for project. SET-listed Country Group Development Plc (CGD) has secured US$375 million (about 13 billion baht) through China Ping An Bank to continue developing luxury project Chao Phraya Estate. (Bangkok Post, 20/09/16)

ECF
ECF is negotiating for a 50MW biomass power plant, with 30MW expected to be finished this year. It plans to invest in more than 40MW in solar farms in Asia and to hold 20% share. The furniture business continues to be good. It plans to open three new branches. (Thun Hoon, 20/09/16 )
EPCO
EPCO expects 3Q16 earnings to be good after booking power plant revenue. It expects 4Q16 earnings to be peak after the 12MW power plant in Japan came on line and it will also book revenue from 120MW PPTC and 240 SSUT power plants. It expects to do a 5MW solar farm and expects to have total capacity of 600MW. (Thun Hoon, 20/09/16)
IHL
IHL is confident that 2H16 earnings will be good even though the auto market is still slow. It estimates 2016 total revenue at Bt2.5bn, supported by more orders and expects net profit to grow more than 9%, exceeding the 8.38% in 2015. It expects 2017 earnings to be outstanding, backed by the protein production business, which has a gross profit margin of more than 50%. (Thun Hoon, 20/09/16)
JAS
JAS chief’s offer raises eyebrows. Pete Bodharamik, chief executive and biggest shareholder of Jasmine International Plc (JAS), stunned the market yesterday by announcing a tender offer for 4.09 billion shares and 2.73 billion units of warrant-3 (W3) that he does not already own in a deal worth up to 40 billion baht. Comment: One could argue that JAS is the best performing telco company in Thailand when judged upon the stock price performance over the past 12 months
 
KOOL
KOOL expects profit to record a new high after 1H16 revenue of Bt101.96mn. It expects to conclude a plan to do a service business for at least 1 customer from more than 10 customers. It is confident that 2016 revenue growth will hit the target at 50% from last year. (Thun Hoon, 20/ 09/16)
Comment: Their share price has been astounding too. I didn’t quite understand why this company has been performing so well…oh well.
 
LANNA
LANNA plans to do a coal power plant business in Indonesia, capacity of 100-200MW. It is interested in bidding for a biomass and waste power plant in Thailand. It targets 2016 coal sales of 6mn tons. It has budgeted USD50mn to expand capacity phase 3 in Indonesia. It expects 2016 revenue of no less than Bt10.2bn. (Thun Hoon, 20/09/16)
LPN
LPN expects 4Q16 sales to be a new high, backed by launching new projects. It recorded presales in the 8M16 of Bt6.6bn and has more than Bt8bn in projects. (Thun Hoon, 20/09/16)
Comment: Arguably the biggest underperformer this year when compared to the rest of the property companies on the SET
 
NUSA
NUSA expects to expand to ASEAN at the end of the year. It sets three-year target to increase revenue from abroad to reach 10%. It is confident that 2016 earnings will have profit even though it had a loss of Bt86.59mn in 1H16. It maintains 2016 target presales at Bt4bn with revenue of Bt2bn. It plans to open five new projects worth more than Bt5bn next year. (Thun Hoon, 20/09/16)

PS expects 2016 revenue will reach its target of Bt53bn with presales of Bt51bn. It plans to launch 33-38 new projects worth Bt30.4-34.4bn in 2H16. Recently, it donated 144 rai in Pathum Thani for a “monkey-cheeks” project. (Kao Hoon, 20/09/16)

    I really enjoy your notes, etc. But what I enjoy most is your “comment” section. IMHO Thai companies publish lots of “plans” which apparently have nothing substantial behind the expressed “wishful thinking.”
    So, we all appreciate the comment section… adding a crucial element!
