IVL expects 3Q17 earnings to be Bt4.1bn or +61%YoY due to higher sales volume and margin. (Khao Hoon, 7/9/17)
Comment: Well, ok, I just don’t know regarding this name anymore, they do have warrants to be exercised at high 40s by next year..
MONO
MONO expects 2017 revenue of Bt1.7bn, +40%YoY, on higher ratings and ads. It plans to buy movies from 20th Century Fox to expand international movies to 400-500. (Khao Hoon, 7/9/17)
Comment: MONO has disappeared from the news for quite a while, 1H17 #’s are positive, first time since 2014, but if they are going on a buying spree of movies again I wouldn’t be surprised to see losses return
SAPPE
SAPPE maintain 2017 target revenue growth at 10%. It plans to launch 10 new products to stimulate sales and to buy more shares of All Coco to hold up to 51% from its current holding of 40%. It plans to launch new All Coco shops in the US and in Korea in 4Q17. (Khao Hoon, 7/9/17)
TPCH
TPCH will ask for approval to sell electricity generated by waste-to-energy plant. It expects ERC to open for proposal at the end of this year. It expects 2017 earnings to grow at 28%YoY. (Thai Post, 7/9/17)
Comment: I’m beginning to feel that despite TPCH’s supposed strength in Southern Thailand and their ability to execute projects well, a bet on TPIPP and BGRIM would be better.
WHAUP
WHAUP plans to expand is utilizes and electricity business in CLMV for future growth. It plans to study the water utilities business in Myanmar. The 130ME Gulf TS 2 power plant recently started up. It targets total production power of 542MW within 2019. (Thun Hoon, 7/9/17)
