Comment: This isn’t your father’s Central, this group is moving faster, expanding quicker and cutting faster. Now is this a good thing? I don’t think so….the power of central in the past was that they were incredibly conservative/accurate in their analysis before expanding. Now they are taking bets and are cutting businesses down years before it may materialise. The issue with Central today may that be 1) Too many consultants and bankers are working there 2) Their 8alls are getting too big after being the only group in the country that is coming out of Covid rocking and rolling. 3) They’re applying short term metrics to long term businesses.
