KIAT expects to get a job to transport chemical products. The project is valued at over Bt300mn and it expects to get 50%. It expects 2H16 to be good supported by new jobs worth Bt500mn. KTIS

NPP takes 2 food firms TLP, NPP Foods acquired in Nippon Pack expansion into food/beverage. NIPPON PACK (Thailand), or NPP, a producer of plastic packaging and bottles, has allocated Bt79.4 million to acquire all shares of Thai Luxe Food Products Co (TLF) and NPP Foods (NPPF) from Thai Luxe Enterprises (TLUXE) as part NPP’s expansion into the food and beverage business. Comment: This could be a rather interesting play on consumer products. Some parts of the business involve producing the ready to eat meals that are being sold throughout the 7-11’s

SGP to acquire power plant in Myanmar – SIAMGAS and Petrochemicals (SGP), a supplier of liquefied petroleum gas, will take over a 230-megawatt power plant in Myanmar for US$48 million (Bt1.69 billion) in cash as part of its drive into other energy businesses. (The Nation, 21/07/16)

TV Direct upbeat on revenue – MAI-listed TV Direct Plc (TVD), a leading home shopping operator, foresees its full-year revenue this year growing by at least 20%, driven by Japanese home shopping giant Tri-Stage Inc becoming its largest shareholder. (Bangkok Post, 21/07/16)
