LPN holding its revenue target this year at Bt15 bn and presales at Bt26bn although it has cut the number of new projects to be launched by 6-7 to 12 projects. Currently, the company has Bt21bnbacklog on hand and expects gross margin to hold at 30%.(Khao Hoon, 07/03/14)
Comment: 2014 is supposed to be a flat year for LPN, so it’s dividend yield should be at 6-7 pct for the year and next year growth resumes

PTT takes hit from subsidies-Energy giant PTT Plc has estimated that losses from its compressed natural gas (CNG) and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) operations will total nearly Bt30bn this year because of heavy subsidies. Chief executive Pailin Chuchotthaworn said the losses would be added to accumulated losses of Bt100bn as of 2013.(Bangkok Post, 07/03/14)

Ticon earmarks Bt8bn for more land development -Ticon Group, the developer of factories and warehouses for lease, is investing Bt8bn this year to buy and develop 1,000 rai of land. The group, comprising Ticon Industrial Connection Plc (Ticon) and Ticon Logistics Park Co (TPark), aims to increase leased space by 350,000 sqm this year, of which 250,000 will be for warehouses. The group’s factory and warehouse space for rent totals 352,268 sqm.(Bangkok Post, 07/03/14)

TCAP, MBK take over Siam City Life -Thanachart Capital Plc (TCAP) and mall operator MBK Plc (MBK) have entered into an agreement to take over Siam City Life Assurance (SCILIFE) from Thanachart Bank in a deal worth Bt900mn. TCAP, parent firm of Thanachart Bank, will spend Bt481.5mn to acquire a 53.50% stake in the life insurer, while MBK will take the rest.(Bangkok Post, 07/03/14)
