MONO
MONO’s 3Q17 earnings turned around to Bt70mn, growing by 600% supported by the rise in ad rate for MONO 29. 9M17 earnings reached Bt145mn. (Khao Hoon, 10/11/17)

NOK
NOK believes it has bottomed out. It projects load factor in 2017 of 82% and targets load factor in 2018 at 90%. It plans to penetrate China and India. It believes losses will be lower in 2018 and to return to net profit in 2019. (Khao Hoon, 10/11/17)
Comment: Well given that someone else is running the company perhaps things may improve, at times I have wondered how important management is in a company, in the case of NOK I’m not sure if it’s because of the size of the fleet that prevents them from competing or the management themselves. Perhaps both in the past?
SIRI
SIRI has budgeted Bt2.8bn to invest in six leading international technology and lifestyle brands, to expand into new businesses and support revenue growth in the long term. (Thun Hoon, 10/11/17)

VGI
VGI is going to partner with local business in Indonesia to expand its advertising business in the subway in Indonesia. It plans to complete the installment of advertising medias in 31 stations in Malaysia’s rapid transit system within 1-2 years. It believes the advertising businesses in Thailand has a positive outlook in 4Q17 after utilization rate increased to 70% in NovemberDecember.
